Useful weapons that aren't the Raptor?

Talon, Hurricane, Equalizer, Piranha, Scorpion, Tempest, Falcon.
I've probably missed a few, but these are what I use on a daily basis. (Except for the Hurricane and Piranha, because RNG hates me).

I do believe I have the Talon, so I'LOL have to give it a try! RNG never gave me the Hurricane in ME3, but hopefully that trend won't continue.

It's best with the amazingly strong Architect. With him that gun is OP!

I see nobody mentioned the Vanquisher yet.

Apart from the Raptor being the best AR (being a SR), The Talon is the best shotgun (being a pistol), and the Piranha is the only shotgun worth using.

The only usable weapon that isn't a sniper is the piranha. Everything else is trash except maybe for the talon, and that's a big maybe. It does little damage and has a really bad fire rate.

However, if you have amazing aim, then you can make a couple other weapons work as long as most of your shots hit the weak points.

Assault Rifles:
Revenant - Good damage in short to medium ranges. Large magazine. Gets much better on classes with accuracy bonuses.

Thokin - It's got a bit of a learning curve, but the damage potential is there.

Pistols:
Hurricane - In my opinion, the best gun in the game because of its versatility, great damage, low recoil, large mag, fast reload, you get the idea.

Talon - Best shotgun in the game. Lower rate of fire than the old Talon, but the damage is CERTAINLY there. When paired with a Level 3 Targeting VI.. you can one-shot a lot of enemies with a close range headshot (red bars).

Equalizer - People on here go bonkers for this gun.. and it doesn't suck.. it's just okay IMO. Once you have a Hurricane, this weapon becomes obsolete. That said, it's moderately accurate at close to medium range, about the same as the Avenger. Damage is above average.

Scorpion - I haven't actually used this since getting it to X.. but the numbers are very impressive. It's very likely good.

Shotgun:
Piranha - Certainly the best actual shotgun in the game.. but don't get your hopes up. It's very solid, but not spectacular like the old Piranha. I feel its the best weapon for my Vanguards.

Hesh - It's the second best shotgun.. but it's a rather distant second. It doesn't do that much per shot but it has a huge magazine and a very high rate of fire. It makes things dead good enough if you want a shotgun, but don't have a Piranha. Just remember to go ham with your trigger finger.. because the faster you fire it, the better your DPS will be.



Edit: There's another uncommon pistol that looks like the Tempest from last game. It's solid too if you don't have anything better.

Enemies don't die in two hits reliably on gold, so the reload kills the gun. On silver it is very good because it does kill things in two shots reliably.

It's about the best of the inadequate guns, and is somewhat usable, but not very good.

It's the gun I equip on my manguard. Get a shot here and there in between charge and melee cycles, for a bit of damage but mostly for the stagger. It's also fairly light. Reload after kills. At point blank it does a good enough job at dealing with Observers, but I can't see how it would be a good gun on a weapons-based kit. Maybe on an infiltrator with the extra shot and cloak damage bonuses... I don't know.

The guidance seems kinda screwy, and I've found the aim to be off-center. I get better results when aiming high and to the right. I don't think I've ever scored a weakpoint kill with it.

It would be completely outclassed by the Hesh if it wasn't for the pitiful damage that one does. For an UR, it's not good.

If you can consistently make the shots land with it, it might be good. But good luck getting that to happen. 

Disciple is pretty decent.
