I can only suggest to try again, for when you pick NG+ (at least on the PC) it brings up the same character creation screen as when you are starting from scratch.

NG+ is currently screwed up anyway, if you did Movie Night, it will screw up and trigger steps of the quest early as the items are still in your inventory.

Same here, Xbox as well. You can change appearance and even gender on NG+ with no problem. I just completed my 3rd play through and imported my previous characters but changed appearance each time. Much better than starting as a level 1 mook again. I think I'm level 110 currently. Sadly, your companions max out at level 70, and maaaaany levels before that you will run out of skills to put all their points into. Unfortunate. Hope they expand squadmate skill trees in future updates/DLC.

Will it break the quest entirely or does it just break the dialogue paths that lead to the end? It simply causes some conversations to happen out of order, and duplicates the quest in your Journal. The obvious fix, that I've not seen anyone discuss, is to purge the offending items from your inventory before porting the save into NG+. I think I found that you cannot destroy these special items, but you can sell them for 0 Credits. I keep seeing proper discuss these "NG+ bugs", but this silly Movie Night is the only actual bug I've encountered. If this is big enough to keep someone from playing NG+, then they never really liked the game much, anyway.

I would advice against a new game+ for now. A few quest bugs, even some tasks and broken scaling. Wait for them to patch the issue if they ever do.

And I thought you were above judging how much people like the game, especially when what we want is simply quests working properly. They are rather huge part of the game, aren't they? Go try selling them...let us know how that works out for you You can't, they don't even show up in the list to sell and no option to destroy exists. So stop fanboying around and acting like everyone else is an idiot. While it's true you can't do anything about items, you don't have to be so rude while pointing it out, you know?

I have a very low tolerance for fanboys, even if they are fanboys of something I like. In most cases they are worse than "haters". The fanboys tend to be far more obnoxious because they think they are on the side of the righteous because they are valiantly defending the game from the haters...haters of course being defined as anyone with a negative opinion on any part of the game.

So stop fanboying around and acting like everyone else is an idiot. Take a deep breath, relax, and stop name-calling. You're embarrassing yourself. Never have any of my posts suggested "fanboy". I have sold several of these items for 0 credits, as I said. As is evident from my post, I have experienced this bug. I didn't state I'd solved the problem wholesale, but rather offered a possible, temporary solution. If you're certain that it doesn't work, politely say as much and move along. I stand by my last statement, regarding holding off on NG+ because of party nights. It's 5 minutes out of 100+ hours, at worst. The bug doesn't even force you to launch the Task. In my experience, I missed a few fetch quests, and their corresponding conversations, and had Movie Night ready to launch earlier than I should've. This is not a game ruining bug, but a minor issue. (There are plenty of far more disruptive issues that people are still experiencing.) It's not worth skipping a NG+, in my opinion.

I didn't experience any other bugs, since at least some of these items are in fact destroyable or saleable, in my experience. I'm sorry if my tone sounded judgmental. I was trying to offer encouragement to give NG+ a go, not holding off because of one little quest. It's 5 minutes, tops, out of 100+ hours. Obviously, opinions will vary.

For your edification, at least some of them can be sold at the terminal aboard Tempest. I also sold an item on Kadara. You really need to chill, man. You just got here in December, and you're going to call me a "fanboy" and insinuate that I'm a liar? I have a solid reputation and credibility, built upon a long history of helpful, well reasoned posts in both these forums and the oBSN. Spend some time here, and you'll actually get to know me and my general views. I'm finished discussing this particular incident with you, unless you want to PM me and talk it out. No one comes here to sift through bickering amidst useful posts.

I'm just grasping at straws, but try loading your old game and making a new save. Maybe there's something wrong with the save you're using.
