Which Game Revised or Reworked ME3's Final Mission Better?

MEA and Tales from the Borderland both seemed conscious of ME3's final mission, and both games seemed to sort of revise or rework ME3's final mission for their own respective final mission.  At least, that was the impression that I got from each game.

If you concur, which game do you think did it better?  Is there another game that also seemed to do this (or even do it better)?
