Racing around in the Nomad is probably my favorite part of the game right now. I just added agility mode last night and had a ball on the ice on Voeld. I thought they balanced the speed and agility quite well. It would be nice if a weapon could be retro fitted on it but it makes sense that it didn't come with one initially. I loved the OP's video; I need to find a nice ravine to jump over. I had never tried to park on the tempest either but I will make that a personal challenge tonight after work. Didn't realize the companions would flip out if you drove recklessly. Will have to try that as well.

I liked the Nomad, bounding around in no gravity on the asteroid was fun. Just wish it had guns.

I always thought it was interesting how the in game description for the P.A.W. mentions it is theoretically scalable to a ship-sized version.
It always made me wonder if we might be able to research a big freakin' laser for both the Nomad and Tempest at some point.

Love it too. Only gripes: Some environment it cannot climb like the mako did, and the jump is so low even upgraded (not that you really need it). I love the design, and gull-wing doors. Very slick machine.
Note: Just doing Vetra's mission now and loving the low g environment. Also Cora and Peebee sure go at each other (Peebee lives for rubbing the wrong way)

I think its a blast to drive, but its just so damn ugly in some areas compared to the other initiative vehicles. And while walking around it in the tempest it doesn't seem that it could fit a human much less a krogan inside. Also wish there were different tires for the different planets. But seriously the front is just ugly, and the big chrome wheels that have teeny tiny bolts just look out of place to me. Not to mention the suspension design...
But I do like it. It just doesn't feel like a space exploration vehicle, I liked the Mako design and the vehicles at new Tuchanka.

I'm actually really loving the thing! So much fun to speed around, down hills n the like. And switching and collecting paint jobs is fun too! I use a different paint job on every planet. Switch it up when I return to the planet too. Right now I'm using the Bloodpack on Elaaden. Seems fitting.

Definitely more fun to drive than previous vehicles. I miss the armed nature if the original mako though.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Nomad after I upgraded. I want weapons. Big guns. And more jets. Maybe a horn.
Driving on the ice and drifting was awesome! I need to look to see if anyone made a music video of drifting in the Nomad.

LONGER VIRT BOOST!!
Something, anything to kill rift raft. I understand why the removed the guns, think of how many encounters you could just sit back and blast them all away. Ok fine give me a freaking short range electrical field so at least I can take on pest.
Considering there are NO guns on the Nomad, the Tempest, the Nexus, the Arks, I have to ask is Bioware pushing some kind of anti-gun agenda? I am surprised they don't take our individual combat weapons away.

Once upgraded, it became drive-able. Still can't turn worth a shit, at least when using kb/m. And I am almost positive that no matter which forward station I port to, I am always facing the opposite direction from where I want to go. Scaring the passengers with my driving skills is pretty fun though.

The jump mechanic seems useless, other than that it's pretty decent. Wish it could go a little faster, 150 km/h didn't seems a little slow when you can space travel.

I love how it can take a good amount of damage while still being extremely maneuverable. I'm glad they found a nice middleground between the the Mako and Hammerhead. This made me chuckle a bit. Whenever I draw near enemies, I know I have to eject ASAP, since two to three seconds of light arms fire will blow up the Nomad. Playing on a Insanity really is a different experience, in some ways. I love the Nomad. I liked the Mako, so I figured I'd love the Nomad even more. Many say it needs weapons, but I can understand why they elected to not include them. In terms of gameplay, why would anyway get out and fight, if they could sit in a tank and blast all of those assorted camps? I really enjoy all of those fights, but I think even I would be sucked into blasting 10 dudes with "the main cannon", if it were an option. It would be too efficient to resist. I can tell that the "35 seconds airborne" trophy will be the toughest, for me. I can't seem to keep that thing airborne for more than 20, low-G or not. I need to git gud at floating.

They could try giving the vehicle a missile launcher like the batmobile (in drive mode) but with limited ammunition so you would still need to fight on foot sometimes. It's possible to do it on that destroyed planet but i guess you need all the thruster related upgrades (haven't done i myself).

Love the Nomad. I thought the Mako was ok, although the whole thing of jumping up and down on the spot to dodge missiles while you took out turrets was a bit silly.
I thought I would miss the weapons but it's more fun to get out and fight with powers anyway. My only real gripes are:
- the pointlessly weak jump jets - that running over a basic mook at 100+kph somehow doesn't kill them outright (I had to run back and forth over one of those insect things on Eos about 4 times to kill it) - that you can't go up anything more than a 2 degree slope without switching to 6-wheel mode.
Pretty much everything else is great. The handling is excellent once you get used to it and it handles differently on different surfaces, which is fun.

I like the Nomad. It handles better than the bouncy castle on wheels called the Mako (which, FYI, I loved). In fact, when switching to ME1, I find myself trying to accelerate. Definitely a feature I like.
