I always treat each game even in a series as if they are totally new, mea has problems I wont deny t hat but so far I cant say that i'm unhappy about the price I spent on it, if you had played the mars warlogs game and then preordered the technomancer and seen how bad that game was on release you might feel differnently as well (I actually felt like i'd been mugged for that game it was that bad) mostly its just funky animations and dodgy gun power that's problemetic in mea, and for actual bugs they are patching it up, in tt it had a premium price and it took them 3 months to release a patch so you could play past the first 30 minuites of the game (it hard crashed due to a code problem) but to do it they nerfed your character hardcore so it was virtually impossible to get to that point.... and now its just some trash placeholder in my steam game list..... and it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't cost so much money, where as with mea i'm mostly likeing playing it but some things are annoying me more because i'm a completionist than because the game is crappy If I had paid say, only $60, or $75, I wouldn't feel so bad, but I paid $115. I take responsibility for that. I made that purchase. I am also remorseful for spending that much on a preorder based on 1) hype from the developers and 2) my experience from ME3. However, this is my issue. I cannot compare this to the mars warlogs game (as I have no clue what that is). As I stated before - coding issues are fixable, design and voice acting, not so much. This is where the remorse comes in. I only speak from a programmer's PoV. I've never spent that much on a preorder and it was a little disheartening to be let down. Lesson learned. Had I seen the stuff that I am seeing now (and in the past few weeks) in the hyped up trailers and snippets provided, it would have swayed my decision on purchasing this. I would still have purchased this, but at the $45-60 price range (at least half or what I paid).  fair one, I paid for the super delux version on pc and a copy for the xbone with the toy car (the £5 one) which I guess rounds at about £110, or $135... but I don't blame eaware for that, and i'll even be happy if they manage to fix some of the things that are wrong, especially if they fix the guns damage thing in mp XD |

BSN has always been a shithole, even back in ME3 days which according to todays users was the best game ever created. BSN in ME3 had at least people like peddro and cyonan who contributed enormously to the community as a whole. Here? Just look at people like VegasFlash, whos last three threads have been locked, his entire posting history is him flaming other people and spewing vitrol along with racism as of late and he remains an active user on this forum. Two thoughts: 1 - Definitely don't look up who founded the forum. It would probably break your brain. 2 - The way to improve any forum is definitely to be like you and dedicate your energies to shitting on the place and the people in it. Good job! |

The balance patch one doesn't even have the patch in the OP. The dev isn't lying about wading through crap... The reddit is a hugbox, which is the last thing this game needs in the state it's in. |

Constructive criticism hasn't been achieved outside of very few users even on the OG BSN. And it makes me laugh how much everybody suddenly thinks me3 was the best game ever when it was getting trashed on by most of the community during it's heyday. It's just goes to show how many people today just flock towards mind numbingly hating on anything and everything. |

Oh, and we have boobs like you too. You're right, you are no peddro. Also, maybe the reason why the forum doesn't please you, is that the game sucks and most of saw that and accepted it, while you kling on like Worf in a toilet bowl. So glad you love the game, make money with your fruity gaming page, etc.... Don't shit on us because you don't like the content here. If the game was better, I'd be playing it, everyone else would be playing it more, and these forums would actually be quiet for a while yet. Instead, you have memes everywhere, because the game is nearly universally panned as a crapfest. Get over yourself, you are just another average gamer. You aren't that serious either. This game is great. It doesn't suck in the least and it's only going to get better and expand further. |

I think the donkey thread guy might have got a time out. If you go to that thread the OP is nuked and it's only left in quoted posts. As far as Vegas goes I'm not sure. The last I saw of him was just seeing people quoting him in threads and saying its going too far and it wasn't funny borderline creepy at that point. I can't think he was being serious so maybe hes just taking a backseat for a bit or posting on an alt. Didn't really see anything ban worthy.

I dare hope that Bioware devs were not the ones pushing for the closure of their forums. As to this decision, I always said it was incredibly wrong. The only reason their forum was "toxic" was that they handled it badly for a long time and left it to rot under some biobots supervision. Then they were surprised at the bad behavior as we were treated like a nuisance. Ok I have to admit that every now and then I marvel at the creepiness we can find here. But honestly Bioware games are the ones with highly advertised mature sex and big romance stuff. What else would you expect?
Anyways they are incredibly lucky that some of their fans are dedicated enough to do the work they failed to do, and for free. The best we can hope is that freed from the constraints of maintaining a community, they manage to at least have an intern who can write weekly summaries of this forum. It's the kind of thing that could be done by fans for free again. But not me. I stopped feeling involved in the community since we were called toxic and chased away like garbage.

That said, I think off-topic shit should obviously be in off-topic, and am somewhat disappointed in the lack of technical discussion in this subforum. Having some shit-talk is good for community building and socialising, but old-BSN was the best place for technical info, and had the official balance changes / discussion / dev communication. I kinda feel like this-BSN needs a tag like "#Serious", and in those threads you break out the NinjaStan and mod anything not directly on-topic and useful. Then if they can be searched for, it may make it much easier to find proper information, and give some credibility for the Bioware devs to visit. |

Number crunching on BSN was a natural, since that was where the number-crunchers were going to go, that was where the devs were, and that was were the interaction was happening.
It's not quite the same situation, to say nothing of the smaller number of users reducing the pool of available testers.
While this place will certainly gradually build a body of knowledge, it's going to be put together with fewer people, without dev interaction, without any kind of influence over balance, and without any support from the people doing QA.
