So, lots of people ain't happy about A LOT of things, and the cooldowns are one of those.
What do you guys think, should global cooldowns return or should we stick with the long individual cooldowns for future games?

I don't mind the individual cooldowns. What I do mind is the balance between the long cooldowns and the tickle damage powers/combos do.

From my point of view what I want is the ability to chain my powers, which I could do in ME3. I don't mind leaving them as non-global as long as I could chain them. I prefer a predominantly non-gun playstyle, as my aim is truly terrible.

I prefer the global cooldown paradigm, but that said it is possible to have balance in both regimes.

If that would mean that the cooldowns are gonna be lowered by quite a bit, then yes please.
Otherwise, I do like the seperate cooldown-mechanic, it's just that the cooldowns themselves are pretty high compared to ME3.

Individual cooldowns are fine, but the overly long recharge-times in this game aren't. Doesn't matter if I have incinerate + overload with individual cooldowns of 5s each or global cooldowns of 3s + 2s.

Of course they should return, the change never made sense to begin with, not when there's only three powers.

What do you guys think, should global cooldowns return or should we stick with the long individual cooldowns for future games? I don't mind the new system on a whole, but the recharge time is a bit excessive. When I play the Asari Adept I punch as much as I use my powers so I don't notice it as much, but then I jump onto the HAdept and I just hate my life everything is constantly on cooldown and I get stuck hiding trying not to take dmg while shooting bb's back at the enemy hoping that another enemy doesn't come around the corner behind me. I come out of that match just fuming at how much I hate the Hadept and have to alt tab and watch something for a bit.

As it stands, one only benefits from global cooldowns in their current state when carrying heavy weapons that would have inflicted a serious CD penalty in ME3. Even back then, weapons and powers weren't exactly on equal footing, with some enemies like Banshees and Praetorians having (at times) total immunity to the latter. Now it's infinitely worse. They just don't seem to understand that powers need to be treated as an actual alternative to weapons on caster classes. A fully leveled adept should be able to kick some serious ass with powers alone, never even firing once.

Individual cooldowns are better because they incentivise use of all powers on a kit - you don't end up with the situation of people skipping powers because it's a waste of cooldown.
The problem is the long cooldowns on some powers do not match the strength of their effects - either some powers need buffing or those cooldowns need reducing.

Cool downs are fine. Makes you have to choose the cool down option now. You also have three powers with separate ones. By the time you shoot, reload, use another power or dodge, the game is fine.
You can also use an efficiency mod as well. What would be the point of playing a game where you could spam shield boost every 5 seconds?

I can't think of any powers I'd intentionally not use even if I only specced 1 point in them.
