First off, I am a huge fan of the first trilogy. I had it for the PS3 and bought every add-on for them. However, I never did the MP and have been trying so hard to enjoy it in MEA.
However, there are times I can launch 4 rounds, get to wave 5 or 6 and then for one reason or another, the game craters. No XP, wasted boosts, and then rage followed by sad face. I do not have these issues with other multiplayer and pvp games I play, just MEA.
I love the concept and will probably hang in there too see how much improvement comes from the next patch. However, it is extremely frustrating to have invested that time into the game just to get hosed.
Maybe the devs could add something like a one time bonus of xp and funds or something to convey some kind of empathy for the plight of the MP crowd?

I forgot to add that I play other games using peer to peer. Granted it isn't always smooth, but the games don't crash 50% plus during high traffic times.

I sorta remember ME3's multiplayer being a bit busted on release as well. It definitely sucks, but it should hopefully be fixed up in the next patch. Then they just need to start looking at weapon balance!
They reaaally shouldn't have dropped the Multiplayer beta test!

If you are playing on PC, maybe turning off Origin overlay will help with CTDs.

Weren't the expansions for ME3MP free?
I get what you are saying, but ME3MP had plenty of issues too. I remember crashing to desktop frequently when trying to join a match randomly or the vanguard clipping bug, I know I had other issues near launch but those are the ones I remember the most vividly. Give them time and they will fix APEX just like ME3MP, I know it might seem like it is worse, but I think that is just because it is what we are playing now.

Yeah, ME3MP additions were all free, although I don't recall whether bug fixes came with those or with general game patches. I don't recall ME3MP crashing more in the early days but it certainly had its fair share of problems, the Vanguard one as has already been mentioned, and the constant Drell reave buzz was another that stays in the mind. |

Have noticed alot of issues with connection of peer to peer MEA MP. Alot of crashes and connection lost issues that induce some serious rage.
Worse is losing connection when your host is in the same house as you.... 😂
But hosting ensures you don't lose out at all. Hopefully they will consider giving us exp + credits based on how many waves we can do before a crash or connection lost happens.
Until they can give us a more stable version. Pretty sure ME3 MP p2p had the same issues off the bat.

The one upside compared to ME3MP is that joining a game in progress always gives full credits reward, even if it was just the extraction wave.

At the end of the day, it is extremely aggravating to pay for a product so riddled with issues.
Last night, I had 3 rounds in a row that crashed the game. When I was actually able to finish a few in a row, I was so paranoid about the game crashing, I could not really enjoy it.
This morning, I am up early before going to work and decide I'll play a round or two. Barely into wave two, MEA says FU, throws me the finger, then craps out.
I have been extremely patient, but I think it might be time to move on. QA should never have allowed a game so filled with problems to be released. So utterly disappointing after ME1 thru ME3.
