Ive tried some builds that can do entire combos, and in most cases, the damage of both powers + the combo damage, with everything maxed..
..is less damage than a single Vanquisher shot to the body.
So Im kinda pleased that Annihilation can be super useful.. especially combined with Barrier + melee, which is a top strategy to begin with. Then there are 'minor' bonuses like turning Lance into some sort of Mini-Nuke, and debuffing all nearby enemies.. Iirc, Penguin mad a vid about such a build. Its rather self explanatory though.
