Just wondering which shotgun you like more. I do like the Crusader being close and mid-range, but by all accounts, the Piranha at close range is insane.

I suppose it really boils down to which shotgun I think the Terminator would be most likely to use. Something that fires rounds off in rapid succession would probably be more his speed.

Not even close. piranha.
You want a ranged weapon, run a sniper on the side. Ryder has enough passives on his trees to run 3 weapons and not suffer a power recharge penalty.
Quite frankly assault rifles and pistols are pretty useless next to shotguns and snipers.

Pirahna (works well with Turbocharge especially), pair it with Isharay or Black Widow and you're set. Weight eventually becomes trivial anyway. Solid combination. With the N7 Piranha if you use something like Invasion then hit Turbocharge and Tactical Cloak with the Combat Cloak upgrade you can dispatch a group of enemies in a short period of time, plus it is effective against bosses too. You can substitute Invasion for any other skill that increases damage taken or applies a crowd control effect. The Black Widow with Tactical Cloak is solid as well because you can get three shots on a target before Tactical Cloak fades if you are quick enough. Anyways... The N7 Crusader on paper does more damage but in truth the raw damage and fire rate of the N7 Piranha pulls way out ahead of it. The damage difference is negligible when you take fire rate into account. Also the N7 Crusader use to fire a single slug if memory serves me right in Mass Effect 3 that was pretty effective if you could land head shots, in Mass Effect: Andromeda that does not appear to be the case anymore or the spread has just been drastically increased. Either way there is no competition between the two. |

My vanguard was a crusader fangirl - until the day she found a Piranha in a crate and tested it for fun. Deconstructed the crusader and never looked back. Piranha rocks.
