What are these for? I have some such quest markers on Voeld right now, and there is nothing there at all to interact with. What are they supposed to mean?
Is there any way to get the "Point of Interest" markers to clear or change names to what they are? I notice that with remnant monoliths, the icons turn cyan once I have looted everything.

I don't think so.
I think there are two on Voeld, both of which are relevant for quests later but IIRC, the markers always stay there and are always white.
There are a couple of weird markers, which I never quite got the prupose of. E.g. on Eos, in the east of the map, there are two remanat site markers, which I never got to cyan and - contrary to every other marker on the map - they vanish when I leave the area. Not sure what those are.

The misc 'Point of Interest' sites turn blue for me when I've killed everything and looted the single massive container that's generally on prominent display. The only name I've ever seen them change to is 'Structure', so it seems like they're meant to be simple xp/loot dumps. I'm sure they can be quite safely ignored unless they become relevant for a named quest  |

I noticed that Voeld has quest 3 markers (those pentagons with the white dot) which simply vanish from my screen just after i open the map. This seems to happen only when i first get to the planet coming from elsewhere and then these markers doesn't appear again when i open the map again.
I have completed all quests there already, including the architect and other sidequests that led to voeld after that. Explored every freaking camp, site, crash site etc, mainly for the quests that doesn't have trackers (pain in the ass).
After all that i can assure you: these quest markers must be a bug or something. There's nothing there. Unless something happens almost at the end of the game, which i highly doubt.
Pillars, remnant sites, and camps or outposts, all those which have a proper symbol in the map becomes blue once you get the item in there or finish everything in there. If it is a remnant site, you only need the item and then it becomes blue. But in a vault or outpost, it seems you need to kill every single enemy too and grab every item, scan everything....some vaults gave me trouble to complete because of it. There are some hidden stuff out there!
