I just finished Movie Night

And it's still bugged to hell in new game +

Wait till you get to a NG+ and those scenes all trigger automatically even if you don't fetch the required items.

I. Hate. Movie. Night.

But that was done by Citadell, not by the vanilla game. Movie night is Citadell light. It lacks in most aspects Citadell provided. There was no real buildup and ultimately boiled down to a series of cutscenes with you being unable to take the driver's seat.

What do you mean no real build-up? The crew is talking about it, pitching, preparing etc. Outside events make Liam postpone and others jump in to make it happen, to make him interested again. No build-up?

It's like people just checked yt, vomit buzz-words but not actually played the game.

I liked it. One of my favorite scenes in the game.

Yeah, this game IMHO never earned its "Apartment Couch Photo Moment" (from the Citadel DLC). Which is basically what it is. A drawn out version of that. Plus lots travelling to fetch things (which they overdid for sure. At LEAST two too many stops).

If you don't do ALL loyalty missions and basically play as if your crew is family now, I don't think I'd recommend doing the quest. And I say that despite laughing my ass off at the "overacting turian" bit - male Ryder opting for 'casual' here is magnificent.

As for bugs? Yeah, Peebee occupied the same space as Ryder at the end there, completely overlapping. Not the 'asari melding' I signed up for.

Not having "earned" a freaking movie night is one of the last things on the list that I'd complain about. If you pair up different characters and drive in the nomad long enough, they have all kinds of conversations together. Not to mention more conversations on the ship itself. One of the things I liked compared to the Original. The achilles heal is that Bioware does more telling than showing. The crews logs that you can read about them doing stuff around the ship is nice. WOuld have been cool to see brawls break out, dinner scenes to show the bonding... All that aside.. The Single best thing that I think they could have done for movie night is go full meta. A few ideas: Made it with cut scenes from the Original Trilogy, perhaps a reenactment of the Reapers destroying the Protheans (and one of the crew making a joke how they look like the Kett, or could have brought back Martin Sheen to do an action comedy once again as the Illusive man..............

Unless I missed it, really annoyed I bought all that popcorn but no one could be bothered eating it.

I had Sara put her arm around an invisible Liam when they were on the couch, wild stuff.

Probably should have saved this for a bookend dlc for Andromeda (Which I probably will do once everything is finally release.) Would have felt a little more earned at that point.

I think a poker game that was a little more subdued would have been better. Would have been nice too to actually be included in the game since apparently everyone else already plays without Ryder.

The best part of movie night was the actual movie they were watching.

My Ryder would have been happy watching that alone in her cabin...with tea and space-rat.

Maybe you keep up that persistence and get your self a Hades/Persephone situation going.
