I want my shock baton back, I used to play a Phoenix Vanguard in ME3's multiplayer just to bludgeon Cerberus mooks into submission.

Current variety is good. 9 options for what is supposed to be secondary is more than enough. Single animation per weapon is where they kinda feel flat, not sure what else could they do with such combat system and pacing though. Sync-kills against unarmored targets instead of absent heavy attack? I was a little bummed that the energy whips from ME3 multiplayer didn't make an appearance, but honestly I didn't use most of the ones they already do have. There was no reason to use anything other than the asari sword or krogan hammer, as they do the most straight damage, and the secondary effects of the other weapons just weren't good enough to bother with. You've clearly missed a lot, my friend, otherwise you'd know why Carfalon is worth to bother. My thoughts exactly; there were enough options (ok maybe that laser/whatever whip some of the cerberus troops used would've been coll), but would've liked more moves. Like in ME3 you could either do light attacks, a single heavy attack or a combination of both.

I'm personally okay. I prefer the Asari sword over the omniblade but this isn't the type of game where we're getting a lot of close-up hand-to-hand combat. No real reason to have a variety of melee weapons.

I'd kind of like to see some of these weapons in sheaths/scabbards strapped to my character somewhere. I have an electric Firaan equipped, and it would be neat to see it in a little sheath mounted on my chestpiece or belt or leg or something.

I know they're not technically melee weapons...but I'd love it if we could equip omni-shields and omni-bows in our melee slot

I don't want more weapons, there are enough. What's missing is ways to use the melee weapons properly. In ME:3 you could tap the button to hit fast or hold the button for a powerful hit. Here it's a powerful hit all the time and its clunky and slow.

No real reason to have a variety of melee weapons. I love the sword too, though I wish that its animation was just a tad more elaborate. One thing I can't recall however is if it has a death from above animation like the omniblade/tool does when you melee out of a jump. I'm guessing no, but it would've been cool if it did.

Do want the SB's omni shield from ME2, together with either an omni sword or flail.

Only the Remnant Cryo Gauntlet is really worth it in my opinion, because it freezes stuff.
