I don't seem to be having any issues with other sites, but today the BSN just crawls.

I have Ad blocker running, so it's not the ads. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have load lag in threads with a lot of pictures or vids inserted but that's all the time, not just today.

I don't believe anymore.

I tend to move around various networks and have only noticed hesitation on the more conjusted, or maybe it's restricted, networks. When this happens, it's LTE to the rescue. :wizard:

You don't have to use Chrome permanently (although it displays the forum much more properly than IE7), but it helps narrow down the problem a bit. Now we know that it's a browser-based problem and your forum is likely running at the proper speed for everyone else.

Can you try clearing your cookies and cache in IE7 and seeing if that helps remedy the issue in that browser? Note that this will log you out of any sites you're currently logged into, but will get rid of any excess data being retained by your browser.

I'm experiencing the same today for instance and it's not the first time. I have adblockers, although I have them disabled for this site (because I'm cool like that).
I'm on chrome btw.

I've noticed over the last few days, sometimes it's fine, sometimes it just crawls.

I will try clearing the cache the next time this happens and see if it helps.

Yeah, finally got hit by this as well on my faster mobile connection. :lol:

Oh karma, ya gots me good! I'll clear my cache and see if this helps. Still, i hope pb does something to improve the response time on their end. If not, we'll sic Yummy after them!

Besides general speed access – something you can check with dslreports.com/tools – it's possible it's the location of the GIFs/images used. Unless their on a site like Imgur already, the speed of the image loading/being-checked will be dependent on that server. It's in part why i'm going to start uploading all the GIFs i use all the time on Imgur since it's built to handle the stress from back-linking (if this is what i think it is).
