Even if it had a view of the planet, it wouldn't mean that they had to actually render the planet. A static image pasted on the windows, of what would be outside the windows, would work just as well and wouldn't take up any more resources than a wall does.

Being able to access AVP from forward stations would be an acceptable compromise. Yeah, works for me. Personally I want a hub, where I can access all systems, using forward stations is best, since you have many and the distance factor to next task/quest is super handy. This hub can replace loadout and R&D access on the forward stations, replacing them with Pathfinder Systems Access (or sumthin), which brings up a multi-tab interface, with access to: Loadout R&D Email Vidcon AVP Strike Teams The only reason I can see why BW did it they way they did was was as a time filler, or they really are that dumb thinking we'd really love what they did there (just sayin'). It's the future, and we can already do things like this (electronics, communications, without all that traveling) and it's only 2017.

A shame they didn't add the war table to camps in Inquisition. Having to up and leave in the middle of exploration because a 15 hour mission was done, well it does get old after a few playthroughs. On the other hand, noone ever forced you to rush back because someone's ready to report in. I never did. Only when I was there, did I collect on the mission. If you played long enough, you ran out of wartable missions anyway. Same here. I collect on AVPs when I'm on the ship anyway.

More like 'not a top-priority QOL feature that we never had time\resources to address' to me. Could be patched in later.
And - yes - they don't have 'grounded' views, so we can't see that. I also believe that there might be some extra tech reasons like 'we can't have two different locations loaded at the same time' (Tempest is a separate 'non-combat' level).

I am actually in favour of having a Narrative mode in RPG's and other dialogue heavy games. I know you were making a funny, but since we're on the topic.

How about not having tempest take off, period. Unless you actually leave the planet from the map screen Yeah I really liked the idea of being able to freely go back and forth from the ship to the ground without actually having to take off. Same here.
OT but I also hate seeing the the ship turn and fly through a wormhole to arrive in another system. It's cool graphics the first time but after about 5 times, you get tired of it and after about the 50th time, you want to take a nap.

These shit gameplay mechanics are driving me NUTS!
Either all these infuriatingly time consuming steps to get ANYTHING done in this game area result of staggering incompetence or done on purpose to make the game 50% longer.
I HATE it when a game forces me to waste my time on such stupid design choices. I want to decide myself how to waste my time. Like in Skyrim. Every stupid thing I do there I do because I want to. Like decorating my homes for 50h.
The quest design in MEA is more of this over complicated crap I want to slap the devs for. Like just getting back from Havarl just to learn that Addison wants a fucking vidcom briefing on the planet I just left. I get that there are time jumps implied. But why the hell do I need to have a phone conversation in a specific location???
Everything in this game is poorly designed and half cooked. Makes it hard sometimes to enjoy any quest at all because there a million boring steps that often lead to a boring conclusion. ALL my loyalty missions are on hold...
So after I just flew to Aya to meet Liam for all of two minutes the mission is on hold again.
This is such shit quest design.
And why the hell do I lack research points and materials to craft an N7 armor beyond level 1 but I can just buy the level 4 one for little money? Most unsatisfying crafting system I have ever seen. DAI crafting was fine. This is not.
Everything in this game feels like a chore. The initial landing on a planet and main quests are fun. But after that it's just flying back and forth a bazillion times to do mindless things.
I have a bad memory to begin with. So having quests on hold forever takes me out of it and I start forgetting what this was all about.
Ugh.
Sorry for the rant. Finally playing MEA later than most with ZERO expectation after the initial shock means I'm having some fun with it. But doesn't the game scream inexperienced team... my god...

Being able to go onto the tempest for ANYTHING without having it take off would be great. Between on hold missions where you need to check mail and having to talk to crew or avp/strike teams, whatever it is, it shouldn't take off until you get on deck and point it to another location. I kind of feel like that is common sense. Only show taking off when you choose a new location. I think part of why they did this was to eliminate having to do take off/land scenes back to back. They should revisit ME1 and copy how it was done there.

Yeah it is really funny when you have Jaal in your party but have to return to the Tempest to read the email he sent you before the quest will progress. Also I spend so much time running back up and down the corridor of the Tempest to research and craft items and then run back to equip them. Then while I'm running SAM keeps lying to me about new email.

Yes, I really wanted the ability to change everything and move research with a computer to buy/sell right next to the locker. The research area is poorly designed. ME3 I think got it right. They should have done away with that research circle and moved it to where your gear was. It's not like any crew ever uses and there is no logic as to why it should not be right where your gear is. Also, it seems to trigger a lag bug around the research area that is only fixed when you go into the gear area. The color system should also have been incorporated with the gear setup as well as the outfits.
Why SAM can't somehow send me mail via my omnitool is beyond me. That should be a thing. I have genius AI in my head that can decipher vaults and tell me about vid calls and email but I have no system to have them sent to me? Even in 2017 I can forward my mail to whatever address I wish should I choose to do that. Perhaps having all mail routed to the omnitool would be a better system. But having me go back and forth between crew for a cutscene and then email for progress is tedious and cumbersome. Somebody was clearly very excited about doing it this way much like they loved how travel between planets took half a minute before. Both ended up being not well designed.
