Can this just be added to the pause menu, like on the screen that shows Andromeda viability or something? Or can we be allowed to accumulate them, rather than stopping the clock after 1 until we claim it?
Pathfinders ain't got time to come sign for free shipments of eiroch scrotums. Just drop that shit off at the ship.

An excellent quality of life suggestion, and I agree totally.
I initially imagined that the rewards would simply stack, accumulating until they were collected - but no. In order to get the full benefits of the rewards (particularly those hard-to-get Milky Way research points) It's necessary to return to the Tempest every 40+ minutes, go through the rigmarole of taking off, watch the animation, visit the console, claim the reward, then go back to the flight deck, re-land, watch the animation blah blah.....

Being able to access AVP from forward stations would be an acceptable compromise.

Being able to access AVP from forward stations would be an acceptable compromise. A shame they didn't add the war table to camps in Inquisition. Having to up and leave in the middle of exploration because a 15 hour mission was done, well it does get old after a few playthroughs.

Cheat engine to bypass research requirements etc. I did the 45 min dance during my first playthrough, never bloody again. It is not meaningful, it adds nothing of value but just being useless padding. So that is sorted, i refuse most additional tasks as that is a waste as well only to run into the games ng+ balancing issues. so now ive stopped playing.

Yeah, I was disappointed by this, too.. When I first landed on Eos and was able to look out the windows at the planet I'd just landed on, I thought that if I wanted to return to the ship, then I'd just be returning to the ship...but no, the only options are to leave the planet/return to orbit or cancel/stay. I guess it kind of makes sense.. maybe if they let you look out the window, then the framerate would be annihilated in some locations.
But anyway, I agree that a compromise of letting us check AVP rewards, etc. at forward stations would be great. Or at the very least, at an established settlement.

Nothing's forcing you to head back to the war table, except maybe gamer's OCD.

Actually, I'd like to see an AVP console on the forward bases or, at least, in an established colony. Set that sucker right next to the Research console.

I guess he's assuming mods will fix that but not likely as Frosbite is notoriously hard to mod.

How about not having tempest take off, period. Unless you actually leave the planet from the map screen I think the ship taking of is just a loading screen. But yeah, i hate it too, feels stupid entering orbit every time you forgot something. Loved the way it was in Mass Effect 1 where you actually used the airlock and the decontamination/scanning was the "loading screen".

Nearly every function that requires returning to the Tempest should have been available via the Omni-Tool.
We have pocket-sized devices that can perform a multitude of functions NOW. Why is ME tech so backwards? 😂

Or checking email. Too many missions require you to go back to Tempest just to learn to need to go back to the same planet again

Instead of adding it to the pause menu, just do like MGS5 did it and make it automatic; throw in an alert from SAM and then just run through all of the crap we just got and call it a day.

How about not having tempest take off, period. Unless you actually leave the planet from the map screen I am pretty sure it is to mask a loading screen for they probably unload the assets for the Tempest while on a planet to allow less powerful systems to maximize as much resources for the planets themselves. I do agree with prior posters that having a terminal on the Forward Probes would be great for if I recall correctly they only have terminals on three of the four sides already.

Haha yeah, the omni-tool (It's kind of in the name) does just about everything: we've seen it play audio, video, it can make interstellar phone calls, it can scan stuff, it can repair things, change its display and completely change its shape, become a sword, summon sentry turrets, blast jets of flame and flaming orbs of death...all this, but we can't check our email on it or "collect" our AVP rewards from it.

I don't understand why we can't just board the Tempest without leaving orbit. And yes, I know people keep bringing up the fact that the Tempest has those windows and yadda yadda, but that shouldn't be that big of an issue to work around. They could easily just make it so that the view from the windows are "closed" or they're shaded so that you can't see out of them when on land, or... something, anything. Just let me be able to go back on my ship without taking off so I don't have to sit through the same cutscene every time I wanna just talk to a crew member or something real quick.

They could probably just do a lower quality version of what's going on outside and it shouldn't impact performance that much. Like, just don't show any people in the scene outside, maybe limit the number of shuttles to one, lower the lighting and shadow quality, something like that. The windows already have that hexagonal effect, plus reflections from things on the inside of the ship, so it doesn't have to look amazing, since you have to leave the ship to run up and look at something anyway. I mean, yeah, it works fine on your first touchdown on Eos..

Oops.. so I just started a second playthrough and got to Eos again, and I guess I must have been dreaming that you could look outside the Windows there once you've landed. I must've either dreamed that, or I was thinking of the landing sequence cutscene before you actually land...and then automatically step outside. So, disregard what I posted in this thread earlier, and also, apologies for the necro thread.
