... For MP, I like to remap my hotkeys for consumables to be able to reach them quick enough. As Q and E have no function in MP, I remap Medigel to Q and Ops Pack to E for instant access and comfortable reload-canceling. Just have to rebind them for Single Player. Hmmm... and how do you remap them to Q and E? I seem to be unable to remap the keys for powers and consumables. I used the compromised Space-Bar to reload cancel for years now, but that is not always working so well with the right hand advantage. A higher then 45° angle to the wall left of you and you stick to it. Frustrating at times. Once in cover it works again but you get hit when you shot. I guess this has already been asked a million times? But this thread is as close as i got to an answer. I know i am probably blind, sorry. Thanks for any hint on how-to.

So you don't want to quickly fire up an old sp save file to find out, OP? Now that mp dedication. Let some scrub who still plays ME3sp to do the dirty work for us.

I use the empty grenade on a quick slot method. You don't even have to have the power if it is assigned to the quick slot. So that means you can even gib or console in an extra grenade power, map it, and remove it if you want.
Medigel canceling is problematic in single player because if you have any health damage, or if any squad member has some damage, you will burn a medigel and get the long medigel animation, which is worse than actually reloading.
I haven't tried the omni button, but mine is also split into interact and run/cover. May give that a go, but I am used to RC'ing on 'G' key anyway so that is where I like it.
I personally hate trying to reload cancel with time dilation though. That's after spending too many hours in MP and getting indoctrinated with that timing. SP throws time dilation at you left and right with gates, some enemy attacks, when somebody changes their socks, or when Liara writes another diary entry about you...

In ME2 you did the reload cancel with melee. Fun times charging all the way across the map with a Claymore Vanguard into the colossus in Tali's recruitment mission... not sure about ME3 single player, I have only played it when it was released and the DLCs.

Sorry for bringing up this thread, but I wanted to share with you my idea, of how to proper reload cancel in SP 1. Put 1 point in your last favourite power. For example I put my 1 point in sticky grenade because I don't use them. 2. Place you chosen power in your reload cancelling spot. I put sticky grenades in "7" hud button (alternatively it's V). 3. Save your progress and go to Gibbed's ME 3 Save Editor. Load our save -> go to Raw / 3. Squad (Player/Powers/Collection) and change your chosen power rank to 0. 4. It should look like this 5. Save your changes and reload your save in game. 6. If you did everything correctly it should work just fine For example even if I had 3 grenades, I was not able to throw them. I imagine it would work just fine with every power set that way. PS. Sorry about video quality. I had to convert it because I didn't want to spend my whole day uploading 3 Gb Disclaimer: No Claymore was harmed in the process of making this video. Revenant however...

You can, but it is cheating.
