I was using that as an example as to how information given in conversation could be incorrect, just speculation. Im fairly certain she states that at a glance its not as advanced, during that same conversation. Foster said that because she still thinks the Protheans built the Citadel and the Mass Relays, she has no idea it was the Reapers. From what we've seen so far the Reapers would still defeat the Jardaan in a war, whether the Reapers would have the same level of terraforming if they wanted to commit resources is debatable.

So yeah, something did happen to the golden worlds to trigger building the remnant vaults and stuff. Then the Scourge hits, screws things up for a century and a half. Just as things get better, the kett come and screw everything up again.
And then we arrive.

Well the wiki clears the time line up a bit, but only if its substantiated (possibly data pads?) because the codex doesn't pinpoint it down that close. Just finished my second play through, but I saved most of the exploring for endgame so my codex might not be that accurate yet.

Could be comparable levels of tech but just on different ends of the spectrum. Its noted in game though that teraforming an entire cluster all at once as quickly as the vaults do requires an astounding level of technology. Perhaps the reapers could match this, but they also are capable of being defeated by inferior versions of the same technology they fostered, being that they themselves just use better versions of citadel tech on their onslaught and nothing beyond the understanding of the races they're reaping. Instead of dwarfing their victim's tech with their own they used the citadel previously to amush them in effort to crush rebellion quickly... If they could completely manipulate life/planets on the Jardaan's level (as the Archon wants to do) I think they WOULD.

Just as things get better, the kett come and screw everything up again. And then we arrive. Well there is that black hole there, and none of the scannable planets show evidence of prescourge devastation. Still doesn't make sense that in nearly a thousand years of over lapping history that the Angaraa have no knowledge of the Jardaan though.

Maybe the Jardaan forsaw their own inevitable defeat and were trying to preserve themselves after the fact? By placing Vaults to undo damage done after they left?
Voeld's entry states the ice age is a direct result of the scourge, and the scourge didnt spread until it hit the meridian, spreading almost instantly across the cluster from that point on.
But that still leaves about a 500 year gap.

Yeah, I'm wondering if they knew that whatever caused the Scourge was going to be used, and built the vaults to fix their worlds before it happened.
Or, we also know the vaults can affect lifeforms. Maybe they were meant to (also?) reseed the worlds with life and dna that would eventually result in a re-evolution of the Jardaan?
Man, we really need to get a mod to move this into Spoilers.

I don't take dates into account because we don't know them to be 100 percent. The world's where golden when we left. So the vaults have to be older then what we scan. Even today we can't lock dates down to a 100 percent. Pretty much we are just doing a high tech carbon dateing with SAM. There is not much written history in game just a lot of oral history with is proven to be not 100 percent. Each generation oral history changes to suit there needs.

Its all a plot to take of Andromeda by the Volus. TIM is really one Volus standing on anothers shoulders. The Kett senate is really the Volus leadership. The Supreme Volus lives inside the black hole. Think about it....every planet=round. The Volus=round. Coincidence? I think not.
