Heya, would you please say what are you favorite-not-so-popular games? I know there aint a shortage of games out there right now, but it is always nice to discover a good and non-hyped game.
For example: i loved Spec Ops: The line, Gemini Rue, Valiant Hearts, Anno 2070 and Darkest Dungeon

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide. Some nice surprises I got on Steam.

I liked Rogue Legacy, and I never hear anyone talk about it other than me.

Do the Tex Murphy games count? They're highly regarded in hardcore adventure gaming circles, but I feel like they're less well-known among the general gaming public than the classic LucasArts or Sierra titles. In any case, The Pandora Directive is my favourite, followed by the most recent Kickstarter'd installment Tesla Effect. Hope they eventually follow through on their plan to make one more to finish off the series. The Last Express is another often overlooked gem of an adventure game.
cRPG-wise: more people should play the Drakensang games, especially the first one. Especially people who long for the more deliberate pace of combat in DAO. Arcanum and Jade Empire are other flawed but fascinating gems that don't get enough attention.
In a completely different genre on an entirely different platform: Elite Beat Agents! I wish that had sold better, then we could have had a dozen more!

Nier! It was rated as pretty mediocre and I'm sure a lot of people have never heard of it. If you enjoyed Spec Ops: The Line (I loved it too), Nier was having a similar impact on me at the end - or rather, after playing it a second time, which is crucial to understand some things and makes the whole experience even better. It's a different story from Spec Ops of course, but definitely worth checking out.

Rex Rocket is another hidden gem, it's a more hardcore Metroid Fusion with Super Meatboy-esque platforming.

Resonance Still Life Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars Blade Runner
and I'm not sure just how "hidden" you can call them, but the Shadowrun revival games that have been released over the last couple of years have been excellent (Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Shadowrun: Hong Kong)

Darksiders 2 ....hugely under rated...amazing combat system.....I didnt like it at 1st then I shelved it..came back a few months later and gave it a 2nd chance...I didnt stop playing it for the next 2 days. It's really worth a look for those of you that never tried 1 or 2.

I also love Anno 2070! I've lost hours of my life to that game, without even noticing it was gone. I would easily recommend consortium. Its a quick little game, but there are so many branches in that game, its amazing. You can beat it once inside 4 hours, but there are (I think) 13 different endings in that game. And each one changes circumstances in the world, whole conversations can and can't happen depending on where your standing. Gaining people's trust enough to get them to tell you their history and feelings is complex and easily broken. Its an inch wide, but its many miles deep.

While technically not a "hidden gem" I loved playing Warhammer Age of Reckoning.
Too bad the servers had to shut down. I heard that the game was trying to be revitalized by a small community, but I haven't heard anything else beyond that.
