Sadly they killed ME1 Ashley and had her replaced with a benign clone that was better off going down with Udina. And the only way to get ME1 Wrex back is to not cure the Genophage and blow his corpse out the airlock. *Salutes the memorial wall* Ashley suffered from Chris L'Etoile leaving Bioware. Can someone please bring that guy back? No. Montreal and Edmonton are learning. They will get better. It sucks that have to start with Inquistion as their new canvas, but the same can be said of BG1 to BG2 to IWD1 to IWD2 to Plansecape Torment to NeverWinter Nights 1 then backwards to 2 and KotOR 1 and then backwards with 2. Dragon Age Origins to a small step forward, but backwards due to time on DA2 and ME 1 to ME 3. Ups and down but the core strength of storytelling is what kept it consistent. I'm not sugar-coating, it's unpolished. That's the biggest crime. Not bad, just unpolished. Hell, text to speech can convey better dialogue in some areas... in all the games. |

A lot of people ended up liking Peebee. She's sort of like this game's Vega, in that she was a frequent target of fan criticism before the game released but once in game a lot of players ended up liking her more than they initially thought they would. +1 I was skeptical or indifferent about Vega prior to ME3's release, but then he became one of my two squadmates of choice(the other being Javik) in that game. Very true. I gravitated to him more on each playthrough because he was just a great tank. I could get in a lot of sniper shots in the open thanks to him and Jaavik. |

I think swapping the characters over would destroy what little dynamic there is between them. I liked Peebee having a refreshingly different perspective on the Asari.
I also liked Cora idolising them as an outsider. It made for a lot of interesting dialogue between her and Peebee, Sarissa and Lexi.
If you swapped them over you'd end up with a tech savvy human and an Asari going on about how great the Asari are (insert virtually any Asari character here)
