Hmmm... kinda wonder who's going to be a composer for DA4 then. I hope it stays the same, really liked the music for Inquisition and the DLC's. You're not the only one - and I think Trespasser music was generally well-received, especially Solas theme, so I'd be shocked if it wasn't used for DA4. |

I'm actually kind of wondering if this is going to be like the equivalent of those free camera conversations in Inquisition and Andromeda. They cut down on animation cost by using first person, but big story moments get the cinematic treatment. Hopefully they don't start doing this for other Bioware games!  For a game like Anthem, I could see them doing what Heimdall suggested, but there would be a huge outcry if they went that route for DA or ME. I just can't see that happening. |

I really don't understand how Microsoft can get away with saying "native 4K" for the XBoneX when the showcase demo used the same checkerboarding technique that's used on the PS4 Pro to get to 4K. I guess we'll have to wait until someone claims, "true for-reals no-bs we-mean-it-this-time native 4K". |

Man, I love when people deep dive into game engines. The last time I worked on a 3D renderer was during my math degree (and obviously it was much simpler than what games use), but it was one of the most enjoyable classes I took. It's such a crazy thing we've done as a species. We've constructed machines that convert a bunch of linear algebra into images of plants and animals and people. All we have to do is feed them a bunch of of numbers, and they'll conjure up any world we imagine. So true. It's even more astonishing that a bit more linear algebra and a lot of repetition gets you machine learning that can do things like this and this. |

Committing to anything would likely end poorly. We're still more than a Crestwood distance from launch... Nice! Is that a thing? Using DA and ME maps as units of distance?
