Preferably genre, for me at least. I know some would rather have title. As it is now, Secret IP is only on BW fans radar. It's not established IP like DA and ME, and grabbing interest of wider audience will take longer. Hell, even myself, as BW fan, I'm nothing more that curious about it. Which, tbh, saddens me a bit.

I would laugh so hard if it turned out that our potential enemies are literally called Creatures.

Hope you'll find MEA a wonderful thing to fill the waiting time in the mean time. Just a guess, doubt something will be shared/announced until MEA has been released for a couple of months. I'm curious myself as to what genre/type new IP is gonna be and also hope I'm into it, as DA is just not for me and waiting on ME always takes so many years.

Pretty sure it's far along enough for a title reveal at E3... but I also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. But E3 seems to be the place they do so. I'm sure they have enough of a game that they could show it off a little if they wanted to, but the question in my mind is if they'll want to or if they'll put it off until later in the year to try and drumb up hype over a short period instead of drawing it out.

I always feel like the "truth" will come out whenever this is revealed. It's like, when BioWare makes Dragon Age or Mass Effect we'll always have the previous games in the back of our minds no matter how good or bad the new ones are which sorta lifts the quality up a notch -- the brand I guess. With this I feel like it's finally gonna show what BioWare is capable of as they are right now if they didn't have a lot of ideas made by staff that disbanded ages ago, and they've recruited new talent as well but they have zero staples or trademark traits to rely on and it'll be focus tested, so it'll be really the first true EA/BioWare thing to ever be made which makes me very skeptical.

Casey Hudson didn't develop Mass Effect alone, as a matter of fact, his initial idea was iterated upon countless of times before they ended up with Mass Effect. same goes for Laidlaw and Gaider on DA. also zero staples and trademark? what? no. just, no. people know that there are certain things to expect from Bioware games. the trademarks that BW has made their name on. and as long as the main creative heads stay at BW people will know to expect good stories, strong and diverse cast of characters and compelling worlds/universes. technology has changed, sure, but you always know when you're playing a Bioware game. this was true back when they made Baldur's Gate and it's true now.

Gaider is gone. Jen Hepler is gone, the two biggest influences on DA:O. Luke is still there, Mary and Sheryl are there, Patrick and Sylvia are good enough, but it's not just about the writers.
Going by DA:I I found BioWare has lost a lot of talent not just in writing department but also in game-design and such. They regularly receive new talent so some areas improve like level-design but overall DA:I is only so-so in terms of game-design. DA:O was excellent and DA2 was so-so.
And unfortunatley while some of the BioWare DNA remained both ME3 and DA:I had me feeling like it was very un-BioWare at several occassions, mostly due to how much they've focus tested them, which really shows, or how companion dialogue is reduced to sometimes being uninteractive or being out of focus by not using the cinematic view. And don't get me started on how much the systematization of DA:I removed the BioWare-ness or the "story-first" feel of the game :/

first of all, losing a few people doesn't equate to losing a lot of talent. dev teams aren't sport teams. they don't have star players. everyone puts in the work and effort, otherwise the game doesn't get done.
second. the game design choices for DAI wouldn't have changed much even if those people that you're thinking of stayed at BW. why? because most of the game design for DAI was informed by the Frostbite engine. they had to translate an FPS engine into an RPG engine. which basically means that they had to reinvent the wheel. case in point. the cinematic. why did they try to steer away from them? simple answer, the engine was giving them a lot of issues with cinematics. proof? they had to lock them to 30 fps. if you tried to unlock them yourself through the .ini files, lipsinc and characters would go haywire, best case scenario. worst case scenario, your game would crash. on that note, what crashed most people's playthroughs? yep, it's the cinematics. took them almost a year to fix them and unlock the fps. their attempt at reducing the cinematic headache was to lessen them. unfortunate, but necessary.
now what Frostbite does well is environments and VFX. so big focus for DAI was big gorgeous levels, weather effects and some of the best magic effects in any BW game. but when it came to filling that environment with compelling content, BW ended up short of the mark. wasn't unexpected. these were all uncharted waters for them so something had to give. but practice makes perfect and i'm interested to see how they fare in MEA with the lessons they learned from DAI.
but in the end, when it came to story and characters, they were all still distinctly Bioware. that's why i'm not worried about the new IP. i'll be pleasantly surprised if we get stellar gameplay, but i'm not expecting it. what i do expect is a good narative, characters to fall in love with and a world built to suck me in. and every BW game so far, with flaws and all, has succeeded in giving me just that and more.
