As I understand it, EA Play is partly where EA has a lot of demos available of their games.
If we're lucky, there will be some vertical slice of gameplay for us to look at (They did mention something about it being more complete than expected last year? Which hopefully means they can avoid some of the troubles Andromeda apparently faced)
But I might just be being too optimistic.

...I really hope that's not the reason because that's just pretentious..
I'm more concerned about the game being remembered for years to come.. for the right reasons
At this point my heart drops any time BioWARE's employees express themselves in anything but bare-bone unadorned facts. As in/ A game is in making. It has customized protagonist. Single-player campaign is included. The MP features are as follow: ...
No spins, no emotions, no gods forbid being proud of their work, no nothing else, no responses to anything. Because it all get misconstrued and turned inside out to bash, bash and bash.

I'm afraid it may happen to BW no matter what they're going to do - I mean, it's not like it's just happening to them. Every word of devs or publishers is scrutinized. Even Witcher 3 got bashed for something as inconsequential as some graphic downgrading. But even with MEA shortcomings aside, it was noticeable that a portion of vocal and aggressive gaming community was out for BW blood anyhow and any pretext was good to attack them.
The trailer features a woman with short hair and a dark-skinned companion? "Aaaargh, look at those beta devs pandering to SJWs!" IGN presents a heavily edited PeeBee quest with cinematics cut out and that detail is mentioned in description? "Aaargh, this is such sh*t on every level!"
And while I don' think secret IP may receive this amount of vitriol, plainly because it's a new IP, I expect for some people to pick apart everything BW will have to offer, no matter how well-received the game will be among general public or critics.

I find this terrible. Even for a game I do not want to have anything to do with, I find bashing unpleasant. (Sigh) I could not watch the Mystery Science Theatre with my kid, because I got that same sick vibe of gang kicking the guy when he is down from it. I just can't take it.

So this is the IP that's been described as an online action/ adventure game?
It's the market disruptive most amazing new design action story based adventure game ever made ever with live service that will be remembered for as long as Bob Dylan was...if we put all of BioWare/EA comments together.
It should be noted that they don't use "online" but live services which is pretty vague. Most mobile games offer live services (having friends, sharing stuff, etc), but they don't all support "co-op" gameplay like an online game would. It was said to be "Destiny-ish" by "insiders", but I personally think it's an underwater themed game with turtles and octopuses.

At this point I'm just hoping they show enough so I can tell whether to be interested or not. The few scraps of information point towards a game I wouldn't normally enjoy, but it is BioWare so they have my attention.

This. I would like a direct comparison to Pre-KOTFE SWTOR. Will it have as much story. Same degree of customization. Companions to chose from. Unobtrusive (relatively) MP content. If yes, I will play.

This is game is very conflicting to me, I want it to be successful, because BioWare is in a crucial point after ME:A, and very few devs (just one, in fact) make games that work so well for me as theirs. But, OTOH, I fear that Dylan being a big hit makes BioWare move away for the formula that I enjoy so much. But then again we don't really know how different Dylan will be.
