Sigh. I play games like I read books - by myself. Don't think this one will be for me, no matter how pretty it looks.
Freaking Bioware, trying to force me to make friends. Like they're a $@^#& life coach or something... #@%@ #!$%#!. @##holes. It's also how to get a force-multiplier into your revenue. One person starts playing a sexy looking game, but it's more fun if friends play, so dragoon friends into buying the game and the upgrades and the booster packs and whatnot, and they drag in more friends, who drag in more friends, and so on and so on. |

Okay, so, off the top of my head the games that interested me: AC, Metro, State of Decay 2,...Anthem..I'm forgetting some already. State of Decay 2 and Metro were a surprise. Oh! and Mordor. I did play the first Mordor for awhile. I got pretty far in the game and then Idk...I just fell off of it. That was awhile ago. For me it was Artful Escape, Cupheads, Shadow of War, and Life Is Strange: Before the Max ... er, Storm. Go Team Chloe! Oh, yeah LiS! I did not see that coming at all. |

ANTHAM looks beautiful but I'm not sure it's for me. I still need more info. Assassin's Creed on the other hand looked freaking amazing. That one scene underwater with the crocodile...Goodness! So cool.

Well the graphic were gorgeous, which bodes well for DA4, and I like the look of the flying and swimming mechanics. Comambat was.. combat, so whatever. Had whiplash when paul talked about xp since until that point I had thought I was listening to the characters not the players, I was jerked out of my sulk about autodialogue  . Now I don't know what to think, is it a silent protagonist? do they have unvoiced text dialogue or do they just never speak? Or have they just not done all the voice recording yet? I'm disappointed we didn't get more detail about what the game is and is about. Hopefully they'll be a more useful interview. |

Also aren't there sea serpents hanging out off the northern coast? Sounds like a good way to get eaten. In all seriousness, this really does look like a tech testbed for Dragon Age. I'm all for it! If they can refine their combat/environment/dialog systems while also making money off it, that will improve the speed and quality that they can roll those features out for other series. If players who don't share my interests (I actually don't mind MP, I just don't like gun combat) help fund R&D for the games that I am interested in... that sounds like a win-win situation to me.  |
