Interesting! Assuming we are indeed getting some kind of news, I wonder why it would be at a Sony press conference? i mean it kind of makes sense if you look at it from the perspective of the Bioware target audience. Play Station crowd has always been more RPG oriented than the Xbox crowd. even if recent BW games have been more action than RPG oriented, they are still RPGs at the core. plus all eyes will be on this conference today, so if you want to make a big splash in the gaming world then announcing something during this conference, regardless of whose it is, is a wise marketing decision from EA and BW. another point to consider is the fact that PS4 currently has a larger install base than XBox One so EA might be trying to rebuild some bridges with Sony, maybe offering some similar limited time deal like what Xbox had with DAI. i mean it EA so... who knows. <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> I suspect Bio has a game for the PS4. |

Posted elsewhere, but: I've seen 'steam-punk' rumours. I'm also seeing PS-exclusive rumours. (both may be red herrings, who knows) I'm particularly skeptical of the PS exclusive rumor. That would seem very odd for Bioware and even if Sony threw a boatload of cash at EA, I could see timed exclusive at best. I think showing it at the Sony event is just the company trying to drum up hype for the Neo. |

I guess that Sony want to have some new stuff to show off with the new console, and announcing the name of BioWare's IP would certainly attract some attention from RPG fans. |

I just realized it may be more likely, if there's any Bioware news, it will be about Andromeda. Very possible, but we were recently teased about that we would hear about the new IP soon and the level of hype teasing makes me think this is something new, whether the new IP or some spinoff product of Mass Effect or Dragon Age. Or I could be entirely wrong. Andromeda is probably the thing I'm least curious about at the moment. |
