And I don't know why some people keep saying it was free. I'm pretty sure I pretty much paid for these bonus when I decided to upgrade to the deluxe edition of the game. I consider it a bonus freebie because I bought the Deluxe edition on the strength of the items that I knew were included for launch. A dodgy casual skin 2 months later doesn't diminish its value, nor do I feel cheated by it; I just won't use it. Not even worth fretting about. YMMV.

Deluxe and super deluxe paid for the original bonus content that was advertised before launch (Pyjak, pathfinder weapons, casual outfit, scavenger armor, etc.) There was never any promise of future casual outfits and nomad skins as part of the deluxe or super deluxe versions hence why this is considered "free". They did announce the extra content coming in May a bit before the game was released and people (like me) who upgraded to the deluxe edition recently certainly paid for these outfits and skins seeing as they were advertised in the description of the product we were about to pay for. So no, people shouldn't be considering this "free". So you bought the Deluxe edition solely for the advertised additional content that was announced in May?

Yeah, I didn't know they were going to add more casual wear. Based on the reception so far, I'm sure we'll see more clothing and in better quality hopefully.

WTF is this ? Casual clothes ? Is this still Mass Effect game or SIMS ? I've been saying this for weeks! That we didn't get Inquisition in Space, we got Sims in Space. I'd be so happy if it was DAI in space. Didn't believe I'd ever say that but well... Now that I've finally started playing the game the staggering tonal shift is even more irritating. From the sitcom salarian to everything else just being so OFF. But this is not the thread for this. Can't believe they didn't actually fix the saving issue. I don't want more autosaves, I want manual saving. WTF, Bioware. I fucking hate having to replay when I die or just want to quit playing. So for me one of the biggest fuckups on the mechanical side is still not fixed. *sigh*

One of the reasons I upgraded my standard edition to the deluxe one was that they were advertising two casual outfits, not one, not to mention a new MP pack and two extra nomad skins. So, the way I see it, I did pay for everything I'm receiving.

My friend shared this movie night scene from her game with us in the Jaal thread. They fixed Jaal too it seems, so he now looks at Sara instead of up at the screen awkwardly like before. ibb.co/c46GAk

I bought the deluxe upgrade for the armor and weapons. After ME3, casual outfits (leather zipped-up minis for the the win) and pets (K9 the wonder dog) held no particular interest for me but to each their own.

I know, that's why I wasn't really complaining in the first place, just trying to make people understand we did pay (or at least I paid) for it It's paid for by the simple fact that a premium is the only way to get it. Doesn't matter if people want to argue if it's after what was originally meant to be in it as someone without premium isn't getting it, and if you don't have premium, it isn't free. I get get bonus deals out of subscriptions, doesn't mean it's free if I had to previously pay a subscription to even be eligible for the bonus items.

Personally I don't really care about the outfit, I still use the regular AI casual outfit anyway. Sure it would be nice to have a cool new outfit, but its not a big deal. Not that my game actually runs after the patch, the whole thing is kind of moot anyway for me. I'm just shocked that someone at BW actually said "Yes, this is what Mass Effect needs". :smh:

I knew I would probably stop using the armor and weapons a few hours in the game (considering how they were advertised) but imagined we'd only have a couple of casual outfits to wear during the whole game and that I'd see my character in it a lot, so getting more of these seemed more important to me. But like you said, to each their own.

I think they dropped the ball on the weapons this time around. The Pathfinder Pioneer is the only one that I felt was really worth it, but I think that there should have been some greater value to them that would make them worth using for the entirety of the game, like the Collector's Edition weapons of ME3, which are all considerably powerful or at least fun. Of course, this problem compounds on the fact that companions can't use any of them, whereas I had Liara tearing shit up with an N7 Hurricane.

If you buy the deluxe edition for the same price but get the extra casual outfit, the new outfit is included at no additional cost, hence free I don't know why this is so hard to understand

I can buy two burgers for 4$ and get one free, is it really free though if I still HAVE to buy the other two burgers?

If it were free, everyone would get it regardless of what they purchased. Some people bought the DD specifically because they would be getting the extra stuff, or at least, it was the deciding factor. So it's factored into the cost of the DD upgrade in the first place. I suppose it depends on your definition of extra content--whether it's free, or whether it's something you paid for but haven't gotten yet.

Let's say they offered BOGO for 2 burgers for $4, then they have a special where you get a small order of fries as well while still only paying $4. Would you not consider you are getting the fries for free? The new casual outfit is comparable to the fries in this scenario
