Ok, I'm sure many of these have been mentioned elsewhere on the forums, but there may be some "gems" here, so bear with me
- Andromeda galaxy is over 2 million LY away, so a trip there would be rather preposterous. Why not Mass Effect Magellan, instead? Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) is the 4th largest galaxy in the local cluster with approx a billion stars, and it's "only" 16 thousand LY from Milky Way! While "Andromeda" is certainly a catchy name for game, "Magellan" ain't that bad, either.
- Keeping the previous in mind, although I could come to terms with the arks making it to Andromeda, what's the deal with the Nexus?!? How in the world did that thing travel there? Since the Golden Worlds were a complete bust, even if a work force went there ahead of the time on their own ark, where did they get the materials to put it together?
- Star systems and planets look abysmally bad from space. The backdrop is ok, and travel animation doesn't suck. The rest needs a serious overhaul. I want to have a feeling that I'm actually exploring something interesting, instead of running into practically identical concentric circles and a few template planets with horribly written illogical descriptions. Put some effort into making each planet look unique from space, and please PLEASE take into account their distance from the central star when determining their conditions! Add G information. Remove rings from around most rock planets; some are fine, as result of the scourge messing things up. Scanning needs to be rewarding. As it is, I never bothered to visit all the star systems, let alone scanning each individual travesty of a planet in them.
- Quest display issues: * Do not remove the '!' automatically from lists when selected, but require explicit "mark as read", instead; * Sort completed missions by time of completion, latest one on top; * Add planet name prefix to "Additional tasks".
- Nexus environment chat needs to change as game progresses. Vortex stage needs performers. The more the merrier.
- All asari look the same...
- Skin texture looks really bad in closeups...
- In Drack's loyalty mission, the moon has RAIN and VEGETATION! Why are people on Elaaden, when there's an actual golden world circling the same gas giant!?
- Operating the remnant tech is clearly an impossible task to anyone but SAM and, to an extent, some angarans. How can it be that there are encounters of kett and outlaws inside remnant vaults beyond gravity elevators?
- Seriously, make the console key assignable. Seriously. That's such a trivial matter! I haven't actually died because of it lately, since I know to expect hitting it accidentally, but boy is it annoying.
- After 1.05 game started freezing up randomly, mostly in cinematic scenes. It may be an issue with Win8.1.
- Scourge is said to seek out remnant technology. Why doesn't it do so when I turn vaults back on? Well, I expect that we get answers to this scourge issue in upcoming installations...
- Archon's end is unsatisfactory. I'm not a goodie-two-shoe type of person, so would happily, oh so happily, make him suffer for every life he has taken in Heleus. I enjoyed that one scene where the angaran commando was interrogating her kett prisoner, but it wasn't enough. The kett perform autopsy on conscious victims, so the least we can do is return the favor. They are total monsters who do not deserve any consideration given to other living beings.
