Always go digital, no risk of game disc breaking and then having to pay extra to replace it. Though i understand that some of the USA and rest of the world still have data limits on their internet so i get why some people still prefer physical. Luckily i live in the UK which has no such problem well maybe in some extremely rural areas but i don't know about that.
I also get that some people like to collect game discs but any serious collector doesn't open their collections boxes so really speaking they should be buying a digital copy and a physical or maybe 2 physical copies one for the collection and one to play with.

I'd add the option "physical - used" to the poll. I'd have to reset to poll for that. So no can do.

I used to prefer discs but I love digital. It has soooo many perks. No disc changing. No scratching. No taking up space. I can forget about it when I travel to my second home and then just download it there. Discs seemed like the best idea because they were tangible, but now I think of them like CDs. MP3s and so much more convenient. As are digital versions of the game. Case and point: I was playing ME3 yesterday and went to grissom academy before doing the summit meeting. Right after I choose to do that on the map I get sucked into the mission and am forced switch the disc. This is even with it installed on the xbox. Fine. Not a big deal to get up and switch discs. Then I do grissom then start the main quest one and then get a heads up about some other cerberus thing and do that one and discover I have to change the disc again. WTF. So I change the disc then have to change it again to go back to the main. Yeah. I have no idea how many discs MEA came on because I didn't have to change them. That's a good thing.

Please check out my video He has a diamond on his back. Flaps. Ewww. That really is troubling me for some reason. Skin should be smoother. Not rigid with flaps and ewwness. I feel like they tried so hard to make them unique that they over reached. The chest. The back. Something that looks like hair that is attached to their neck and back. Angara look to me like someone on LSD drew a human then tripped out and made all these changes. Also, the calves are kind of an implausible design with how far back they are pushed. With the amount of body weight they are supporting, gravity would fuck up their knees in a very short time. They really need to start considering this sort of thing when making alien races. Legs should be more fully aligned. It should look more plausible like the quarians at least, not like some kind of ridiculous design where you really want to know how it is that the whole race doesn't have some kind of serious leg issue.

I haven't bought a single physical copy ever since I got an Xbox One, back in 2013. This particular post highlights a lot of the reasons why (minus the snow): I don't understand why anyone would ever NOT buy physical. You spend 60 bucks on the game and then turn it in for 20 bucks store credit towards the next game you want. www.gamestop.com/trade/quote/ps4/games/mass-effect-andromeda/136497It was 30 bucks last month, next month it will probably drop to 15 or less...so finish the story and get your trade ASAP =) Digital doesn't take up physical space cant pre-download before release like you can with digital, I love being able to play the second a game launches i never trade a game in so I don't benefit from it anyways No need to go through 10 feet of snow when I can just use my Xbox to buy the game while staying in a house with a heater. Cant harm a digital game, there is no such things as scratches, cracks, or breaks. digital can also be cheaper if you look in the right place or have subscriptions to gaming sites and such. only benefit I see in cds, are having the real thing with you, they're starting to get it where you can trade in digital games anyways, so that trade-in value for cds won't matter for long.

Just checked the poll and it's 26 votes for physical and 74 for digital, exactly. What a nice coincidence.

I normally buy physical but I had received a $50 XBox credit, plus, with EA Access subscription, I got an extra 10% so I only ended up spending $40 for the Super Deluxe Edition.
I find I'm buying more digital now than I used in the past though. I bought a 4 TB external drive for my Xbox and find there are a lot of good digital deals/packages that will pop up that aren't available for the physical discs (ex: in Nov, they had the Deluxe Editions of Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 for a combined $70 through the digital store).
If all the Digital PC sales went through Origin, and EA Origin doesn't really share the sales figured from Origin, its going to tough to speculate the sales figures of the game. Other than EA/BioWare coming out and saying it explicitly, like it did with "Dragon Age Inquisition after 2 months, I guess the EA investor calls may be the best way or any recent fluctuation in their stock.

The last time I purchased a physical game was Donkey Kong as a present for someone. I have no physical discs for either my PS3 or 4 besides the ME3 Collectors' Edition and Dishonored 2, which was given to me. I have such a fast connection at home that it's just super convenient and I like being able to just swap through games right on the screen.

Most times I go for Physical (at least with AAA games). I am just one of those "oldies" the like to have something touchable, and (if possible) with a nice picture on the front. Something that sits nicely on a shelf with other great titles.
But I guess I am used to it because several decades back the only thing you could get a game on was a physical medium. I still have the cassette tapes with games for my Acorn Atom, and Acorn BBC computer. Later on the games came on Floppy discs (5 1/4 size for Aviator, Castle Quest and Elite for the BBC - And later titles for BBC and RiscPC on 3 1/2), and DOS and Windows games on CD-ROM.
Anyway - While I love to see something on a physical medium, ME:A was never brought out on a real install medium (as far as I know). The box only contained a sheet with a game code - for a game that you completely have to download. So - while the box was physical, the game itself was fully digital. And that makes the OP's question a bit moot I guess.

I am old-fashioned. I still like going and picking up my physical disc and having that physical copy.
I am similar with books. I do not own a Kindle or any other dedicated e-reader as of yet... because one of my favorite things is visiting an old used book store and taking in that scent of ancient paper and finding a little dead tree treasure.
Also, get off my lawn.

I am old-fashioned. I still like going and picking up my physical disc and having that physical copy. When I lived in a rural area for about a year or two there was only 1 ISP and I had a 10GB per month limit so I had to go back to buying physical discs...Almost every game I bought during that time was like a 300mb disk with a digital download key instead. I don't even know why those publishers bother printing the disks at that point. I felt the same way about books until I actually got a Kindle. The convenience is unbelievable. I like that I can read a 1000 page book and never feel the weight of it after an hour, I don't have to adjust the lighting of the room during the day/night, I can instantly look up words in the text for definitions, don't have to keep track of bookmarks, or wear down the binding from overuse. Though I get people like the sort of ritualistic experience every time they read. I do what I want

I've also purchased some titles through amazon, and then registered the keys with Origin, so I can download them from either place. Very convenient. A friend of mine who insists on physical copies was pretty disappointed when the physical disk of FO4 she bought still required her to download most of it.

Digital. I don't buy a physical copy anymore unless I am getting a collectors edition of a huge title. Last physical one I bought was Skyrim, before that maybe vanilla WoW, I dunno. I have been buying everything on Steam for years now, except for Origin exclusive titles (basically just ME and DA). Having everything digital on Steam just makes it so much easier.

I buy digital movie and TV shows but when I get a chance I will always get and generally prefer a DVD and/or Blu-Ray over a digital release, because I have more Blu-Ray/DVD players than streaming devices. Also if I want to watch a show that I bought the MS store I can only watch it on MS approved devices, buy it on Blu-Ray and/or DVD I can play on any Blu-Ray/DVD player I currently have.

Honestly, that sounds like too much space being taken up when I could use it for something else. Besides, a lot of people my generation don't even use DvDs/blu-rays anymore since streaming things is 10 times easier.
