Did we find the script for the DR?

Asking because I had assumed out of cover was simple damage taken multiplier to any damage the player took, but Pariah Aegis testing showed an oddity (maybe).

Reflected player gun fire was scaled by 1.4 when I was out of cover, and 'normal' when in cover. However, it appeared that reflected powers were not being scaled.

So I tried to look at other sources of 'power'damage against the player.

Saboteur energy drain was appropriately scaled for out of cover v in cover.

DOT from the electric canister explosion did not appear scaled, and was tickling the same number whether out of cover, in cover, or moving into cover mid duration.

Wondering if cover scaling is classed based on attack origin (hostile v neutral?) or maybe bug for some damage taken. Hence question about script.

Will post log this evening in a pariah post. May also try to look at friendly frag and reflected sticky damage.

Edit: mobile post is the worst. I'm leaving tickling up there

What is the combo cooldown time? Like how long should I wait before trying to detonate a second combo on a target?

The same class combo (biotic, tech, fire, cryo)? 4 seconds I believe. You can combo them with another type right away. but the cooldown persist across types, so if your team detonates all 4 on a single target in the same instant, you have to wait 4 seconds to start the rotation again. I have logs of this, but maybe I didn't post them yet. It's reflected in the updated Combo Table, which is coming soon™

60% AOE damage debuff with long duration is nothing to sneeze at.

EDIT I did not test 5a epidemic 6a virulence and 6b sabotage yet .

So I guess the next question is: does Outbreak 4b correctly apply the debuff to all three targets at max? Those targets should be considered main targets since Invasion is not applied to them through the normal AOE spread-after-death, and would certainly make the ideal evo choice after the recent CD buff.

Edit: After testing against some armored enemies, I think my theory passes the eye-check. The two targets beyond the original targeted one did seem to take increased damage; unfortunately taking 4b does not seem to fix the normal Invasion viral spread, and further targets past the original cast will still not carry the % debuff.

Pariah Aegis Reflection Tests

Why did this test have to get overly complicated.
-Cerberus Scientist

Reflected Weapon Damage
-Weapons fire reflected off of the aegis is the expected damage from the weapon damage formula modified by pertinent player bonuses (passive, gear, mods, shield multiplier...). There is no extra damage returned multiplier.
-If the player is out of cover, this damage will be scaled by 1.4x due to the out of cover damage taken penalty.
-No self inflicted weak point hits were observed.
-It is possible to hit self with reflected shots through cover if weapon has receiver mod.
-Player DR scales reflected weapon damage.

Reflected Power Damage
-Power damage reflected off of the aegis likewise did not have an extra damage returned multiplier.
-Modified by player bonuses and protection multipliers where applicable.
-Power damage reflected off of the aegis was not scaled by the out of cover damage penalty. (Flak Cannon and Incinerate tested).

Flak Cannon
-Theorycrafting damage done by srkm00b previously here.
-Some logs below showing the 50% scaling that was mentioned in that post.
-Did not observe full impact damage on reflection, which was likely due to difficulty aiming reflections of projectiles.
-On a related note, player character seems to ignore shrapnel damage when hovering.

Concussive Shot
-The Repeat Concussion "100% damage vs knocked down enemies" property applies a second hit to qualifying targets as opposed to a single double damage hit.

Out of Cover Damage Taken
-Not all enemy attacks are scaled by the out of cover penalty. Thanks to Hello_Isaac for more data on this. Will be noted in enemy damage sheets when they are ready.
-Electric Barrel DOT not scaled by out of cover penalty.

Misc
-Fire barrel did not apply DOT to player health.

So, I know that there has been some testing of Backlash done in the thread, but I haven't seen anything about the scaling buffs from rank 6 Backlash.

It's assumed that when absorbing the full amount, you will receive the full bonus from either rank 6 evolution (shields or damage buff).

I'm curious what sort of buff you receive (if any?) when only holding it for a moment w/out any damage, or if only holding it for a few moments while absorbing, does the rank 6 buff scale linearly?

Also, do the durability bonuses (Rank 3, 4a, 5a) affect the bonus that you receive from the rank 6 evos? One would assume that making the shield stronger would mean you now have to let it take MORE damage to receive the SAME maximum bonus from the rank 6 passives, since they do not say anything about scaling PAST 50% shields restored or 30% Power Damage, etc.

Basically meaning that if you are taking Backlash for the rank 6 evos, would it be best not to invest in durability at all where it can be helped?

And finally, does Aftermath stack additively w/ Biotic Link / Biotic Warrior, which seems to be the going trend for these kinds of buffs?

It is straight linear based on damage blocked. Blocking for no damage gives no bonus. It being broken instantly by damage gives the full bonus. I do not know if it scales with increased health.

It does stack with biotic warrior, BUT, iirc you get the biotic warrior bonus when the aegis starts, so time taken to damage the shield eats into it's duration, meaning it doesn't really work very well.

Both bonuses Are terrible. 50% shields is about 150 at best, or about quarter of the damage blocked to begin with, and takes 3 seconds, which just makes it awful pointless, and the alternate damage bonus sucks because the stagger you get when the shield breaks sucks up it's duration, meaning to get a useful bonus you need to stop before you get the full bonus, and you just do more damage reflecting damage with the aegis at level one than the damage bonus lets you do.

Aegis level five damage returned bonus is better than both level six evolutions would be combined, and would be worth taking the power to rank six if that was where it was located, even if you got nothing at level five whatsoever. If the two level six evolutions were at four they would still be a terrible waste of points on their own.

As a side note. Does the aegis animation not update with health, so that it only changes color so close to being broken that it does not matter after you level it?

If reflected shots primed, Duelist would turn into an actual contender, instead of the low dps super tanky melee.

If you bounce a shot between your shield and a pariah it causes both shields to break at the same time without either taking damage. Or at least that has been my experience, it's possible the shot went off somewhere and missed. I have never seen only one shield fail though, it's always both.

EDIT2: Did more testing. Also works with Turbocharge Dump Heat. On TSol Turbo gave me 138 rounds in magazine. 138*.2 = 27.6. First bonus damage was on round 27. Thanks to peddroelm for pointing out the possibilities.

With a Turian Soldier and all possible accuracy options (Fortify, Training Passives, and Turbo Charge), a Soned 1 is still too inaccurate for long distance, but absolutely shreds enemies close-sub mid range. IMO it still needs an accuracy buff, or an accuracy bonus increase to the current passives, and fortify.

Also seems like accuracy passives don't really add very much in terms of noticeable improvements.
