I've looked everywhere and can't find anything on how to fix this obnoxious lighting issue.
Depending on the totality of what is currently in your field of view, cut scene or not, the game auto adjusts the lighting. I guess this is designed to make the game seem more like real life? But really it's just annoying as hell and I have no idea how to turn it off.
I just got to this part where I have tea with Suvi and it's the worst I've ever seen it. She moves two inches in either direction and the lighting just keeps going an and out. That was the last straw.
1) How do I turn this obnoxious atrocity off?
2) Where can I punch the guy that thought this was a good idea?
Any help would be extremely appreciated.

The only times I've ever noticed an issue is when I first enter a space - like a cave or some of the buildings. It takes a few seconds for the lighting to wake up, almost as if the lighting is on sensors or something.
Not one of my favorite game features tbh.

It happens to me going into all buildings and all caves and we do both a lot. Very annoying.

The lighting adjustment when transitioning from a light to dark area or visa versa is supposed to represent real life pupils dilating or constricting. But I do agree it's annoying in-game.

I have an issue with the Kett Compound on Voeld. When you are blowing up the generators, the screen starts flickering bright white and painful to near epilepsy severe and I almost go blind temporarily.

its an annoying issue. When talking with Kandros, the screen is very bright, but when I go talk with someone else, its fine. It happens when leaving a building or cave. There's been a couple of times its happen during combat.

Go to settings and put the lightning level on low. It seems to work. I talked to Kandros and it wasn't bright. And I noticed the game's not stuttering, especially on the Tempest like it did before.

Half the time, when I go into remnant vaults, the lighting never adjusts and I'm trying to stumble through the dark. Annoying as hell.

Didn't knew that. I am going to try, thanks. I noticed the skin textures are more noticeable now. I can see flaws, pores and everything. The lighting really messes it all up and even the animations are flowing smoother now.

The worst problem with lighting for me is when it shadows out your face making it look hideous.
There was a problem with ME2 like this were you would have to go into your game config and turn off post processing for lighting to become normal.

The lighting in dark places takes time to adjust and it's annoying. I also think that some of the things in the interiors happen to be lit incorrectly. In Kett Power Station on Eos I got this kind of lighting: Characters and conduits seem to retain the lighting from outside.

Yeah - I have seen that lightning problem that is shown in the pictures a few times. Most times it goes well, but sometimes the conduits seem to light up very bright. I have no idea what "triggers" it, because when I restart the game that same scene can have no trouble at all (with the same saved file)
It does not happen often at all, but when it happens it's annoying.
