Well there might have been, I wouldn't trust my memory on this But the presenter wasn't from BioWare. Finland is such a small country that maybe they just overlooked that we have smartphones xD And because it was shown on big screen in the middle of the Dixiexpo it would've been impossible to monitor anyhow.

Well, to be fair, some people are very sensitive to motion or VR sickness. If the talking head doesn't move, in any axis, it may be fine, but any side-to-side movement, like was shown in the trailer, or up/down, and it could make people uncomfortable. Also, FWIW, I expressed my question poorly. What I intended was, "Why wouldn't you want your NPC dialogue to be shot cinematically, like in DAI, which may include 1st person, 3rd person, or wide-angle that includes all characters?" It was more about it not being always one perspective (third-person), rather than a cinematic mix. Entirely my fault for wording the question badly.

Not sure if it would be better if I was the one controlling the character but I don't really want to find out. Besides the dizziness, I'm terribad at 1st person games. No FOV sucks when enemies can sneak up behind you, and it takes too damn long to turn around.

You mean Metro? That always had a very involved first person camera, for immersion. It even makes me a bit dizzy and i've played first person shooters for as long as i can remember. I don't think it will be that bad in Anthem, but they should launch the game with a head bob disable option and field of view slider, even on consoles.

You can, if they have the head movement in FP. I got motion sick in character creator in FO4, when you look in the mirror at your chars face. The head bob gets you there. Since then I read lots of articles on it, b/c I do want to be able to play a Betshada game maybe eventually. There are a variety of settings that contribute to MS, and, hopefully, they will all be put in Anthem in the adjustable interface profile, so you don't have to mess the game files to play the game.

Ditto here. Skyrim was almost dropped into the dust bin because of it. Good thing it gave me the option to zoom out and play the "proper way".
By far, the initial Anthem staged demo in 1st person view turned me off. Awesome graphics or no, my reaction was MEH! Climbing into the mech suit was also meh. If that mechanics is supposed to make immersion better,... doesn't work for me.

LOL! Forgive me for laughing. I've yet to see Bio concerned about gamers' needs in the CC or the gamers' reactions to "gorilla" walking / standing cinematics. Mother Giselle in DA:I anyone?
Remember Bio's 1st rule? ....."What's in it for me?". How Edmonton shafted (from Kotaku's article) Montreal sure seems to confirm this.

Unfortunately, artists are more concerned with aesthetics than functionality.
The mecha helmet reminds me of a dog and the eye sockets are too far apart. However, there is the possibility that the helmet's internal HUD shows a 160° view. Also, look at the mecha talking to the chick in the hub. You try standing with bent knees for any length of time and tell me how comfortable it is.
The Fort Tarsis' defense is a huge stone wall (reminds me of the movie The Great Wall), cobblestones, hanging cables, stone structures, curtains for doors, a bazaar and mecha. I'd be interested in reading the infrastructure supporting this mess. Where are the power sources? And, upgrading/repairing the mechs only takes someone with a blow torch no computer diagnostic equipment to be seen. Some hybrid punk theme?
