@biomarkdarrah there is someone similar to Corypheus in Anthem trailer. It is also obvious that there is some kind of magic. Does Anthem happen in the same universe as Dragon Age?

A good cross section of stuff. Missions, a stronghold, some Tarsis, some freeplay. Start Level 10. No progress carried into release.

Too bad it's not going to be available in perpetuity, like a demo normally is.

I kind of want to call bullshit on that too, but it's probably because of the cost of maintaining back-rev online services for the demo. It would have to be a completely separate online environment with old versions of the software -- money down the drain for something that can't generate any new revenue after the full game releases.

@benirvo Happy Holidays Ben! I've seen some information floating around that the critical path story length is on par with other Bioware games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age is that accurate?

It’s a really hard thing to compare so we aren’t really commenting on the crit path length for Anthem. Depends how you play, etc

TL;DR

In terms of the main story with the Monitor and the Dominion, will it be comparable in scale to BioWare’s single-player titles?
I would say it’s comparable. The trick there is that we allow you to do a lot more things in between the missions. You have free play, you have these repeatable agent quests, you can spend a lot of time just tinkering with your loadouts on your Javelin, so it gets kind of difficult to say it’s this amount of time versus that amount of time. But I would say comparable is fair.

I doubt it. It's probably flagging missions in the world that are required to run for story resolution as story content. Which is ok when they e.g. introduce new gameplay mechanics wrapped in a story arc. Warframe does it this way, but releases its story over time. And if they have any plan for extended shelf life with Anthem they will do something similar like the world shaping suggests. But at launch I dont think there will be a long story arc. It will just take a while for average players to unlock it with level / gri d rquirements in between.

@gamblemike @bio_Warner @benirvo as we get closer to the release date some of us have gotten to wonder about how long the story to anthem will be your wise? Are you guys able to give us an approximation on how long it might take to get through the story?

This is a good question, but tough to answer. Everyone is different. There’s a lot of side missions, but some folks will just want to rush the main story and then hit strongholds. It’s a lot, though. Personally, I’ve only played through everything a few times.
