This morning we will be deploying a patch with the following changes:
- The tethering timer for missions has been increased. Players should now have more time to catch up to their Squad before seeing a countdown timer. - The Swarm Tyrant encounter in the Tyrant Mine Stronghold can no longer be reset by the entire Squad exiting to the main menu and rejoining the session in progress. - Players are no longer able to reopen chests that have already been looted in Strongholds.
NOTE: This patch does not include the loot updates that were mentioned last night. The loot updates will still roll out later today (Feb. 28) or tomorrow (Mar. 1).
Chad Robertson @crobertson_atx Latest patch for Anthem going Live now. Note that the loot updates we shared info on last night will come later today or tomorrow.
Umm I'm having issues with the update (PC) fails at 20 % anything I should know to aide in finishing it on my end? or am I stuck playing something else while I wait? (game won't launch)

Still all solid five stars classification on Playstion store. I guess the players that actually played the game have spoken.
Indeed it is, just checked it myself. Still among the top sellers on the PS Store. It's honestly hilarious how bi-polar this games reception is. People either love it, or hate its guts and want it to die. It's a pretty amusing experience, even more so when I'm so busy having fun playing the game!

I have a theory that many of the reviewers were given a dated build with more issues than the current one, though some of the criticisms are still valid.

Oh for sure, the game has it's share of problems, as I've detailed in my thread about my ongoing impressions. Found this guy last week, I think he's on the right track.
Don't knock the little winds. They're important - for morale.

Oh yes, Lono's Q&A are usually great. But of course he is a shill, and apologist anyway.
Andrew Johnson @untdrew So, @benirvo & @crobertson_atx are super busy working on Anthem, but @darokaz and I caught them in the halls to record a quick video message for our awesome community. Thank you all!

Yeah, that is a damn good question if they actually follow through with their "no sequels, just constant updates" plan. My hope is that Anthem will follow Warframe's example. People forget how obtuse and content sparse that game was at release as well.

This your first bioware game release?
Really, it's exactly like previous games. The only difference is that this time it is aimed at not solely an rpg audience (and thus, larger), hence there are more loud voiced opponents.

lmao love that meme, sums up the game industry in so many ways.
But srsly, no this is obviously not my first Bioware game. Also yes, for some strange reason Bioware releases are always bi-polar as hell. But this time it just feels like it's a whole other level of bi-polar. I mean, this game is "reviewing" worse than freaking Andromeda, yet I find this infinately more enjoyable than Andromeda. I even think the STORY and characters is better than Andromeda. Granted I find Andromeda to be almost complete rubbish, so that bar isn't too high.
All evidence I see, says people are buying this game up like hot cakes, regardless of how much venom "critics" dump on it. It's like the opposite of a lot of movies these days, where the critic reviews are spotless and praise a movie as the Second Coming, but no one goes to watch it and it bombs horribly.

Well, I liked andromeda, but mainly because I went in with the idea of a whole new trilogy, not with the idea of mass effect 4.
But that game admittedly suffered from some serious project managament issues.
I love it. Anthem has become an underdog Now I feel even more proud to like anthem (regardless of needed QOL improvements)

Yes. Anthem Lore says there is a lot of cities out there. Like Heliost (don't know if that is how it is written) which seems to be close to Fort Tarsis. Scars control the gate lock in Tarsis side but sentinels from that city control it on the other side. Maybe something can be done via some quest or stronghold to liberate the place.
Jesse Anderson@Darokaz You may have noticed that Freeplay in #AnthemGame is a little more empty than usual. The team is working on it!
Yepp. Just came from it, was like.. well.. theres zero enemies here but at least dungeons and strongholds worked.

As far as I know the only people that want this game to die are mostly doing it because they want to hurt EA or have a bone to pick with BioWare for its progressive "agendas".... and all it takes is some coordinated effort by a couple of reddit subs to trash talk the game.
As soon as I saw all the microtransaction/EA QQ on metacritic I knew there was review bombing canned responses going on, because there's barely any microtransactions going on in the game. In fact there's a reddit post right now complaining that the store is too limited.
I'm sure Anthem is going to be a financial success. Reviews are an obsolete relic of gaming past and need to be reformed to be of any value to any consumer with a brain.

Reading the anthem reddit I can say there is a ridiculous massive difference in perception between the player base and the alleged game critics (both trash click baiter and more official media). I still cannot understand what led to this ridiculous situation.
Something I've been puzzling.
With the bugs and many things being 'not at launch', I thought an 8.5 game would fairly deserve 7.5 review scores as the potential is obscured by bugs and so forth.
That the game is averaging at 6.5 (which I find utterly irrational) I would put down to two things:
ONE - Professional reviewers review games as a job. If they have to fight the game's bugs, disconnections, issues and so on, on a pre-Day-One-patch probably PC version (the least stable platform) then you are really irritating them as they need to get the review done in a set time. They are working not playing.
TWO - There are plenty of critics, particularly amongst YouTubers who haven't been following the game, more than happy to wade in still salty about EA, Battlefront II, Battlefield V and Andromeda. Not only to enjoy kicking Anthem but immediately following up with 'When will EA shut BioWare' pieces.
Clearly, the game needed at least another 6 weeks, but that would have taken it out of Financial Year 2018/2019 which was never going to happen.
It's astonishing how sites that I always saw as pretty much balanced in their opinions like kotaku are dead set on keeping alive this hate propaganda. I just checked the site and there's another negative article that contains false information and exaggeration .

That's games journalism for you. It's a major reason, I don't trust anything they say regardless if it's good or bad. A lot of them are more interested in sensationalism rather than reporting the facts.
