Just buy the bloody game,play it and form your opinion and stop being a little bitch about "oh God I wasted my money".

Ah rofl. Yeah, let's continue to reward game developers with glowing praise and good sales for mediocre and subpar products. That is going to give us a host of really good games in the future. Stop whining that Anthem it getting the publicity it deserves.

Well I actually would love to like the game. But as it currently stands, the very few positive aspects are getting buried under a truckload of problems. If talking about those problems is "trashing the game", so be it. And I don't give a f*** about Bioware one way or the other, I like to judge products on their own merits instead of some feeling of brand loyalty.

Bugs aren't really that much of a problem. How many games had buggy releases yet got better scores? Anthem was bound to have problems at the release simply because of the type of a game it is - yet Bioware seems doubly or even triply scrutinized as competition. They're trying something new, and - ironically - people seem to react allergically to that. It's a type of game that will be expanded for years, yet it seems to be judged as a traditional standalone (content-wise) product. This is where people have some issues with some reviews.

If it makes the game unplayable for a significant portion of the community, the bugs are a pretty big problem. Look on these very forums and you'll see others in a similar bind. The EA help forums are flooded with users unable to play the game they paid for. Most games have bugs. Most games do not have this many bugs.

Again, I like Anthem. I am just trying to point out that much of the criticism is not unfair. Not everyone is either a corporate shill or a rabid fan.

Even if a number of mentions or threads on EA help are an indicator that people experience bugs, I don't think you can reliably state that 'significant portion of community' has issues. I experience some issues occasionally. I can still play the game in its entirety.

(and yeah, a lot of games actually have a lot of bugs at launch. Fallout 76 had a much worse, buggier launch and that was not so long ago. I didn't experience it, as I'm not into Fallout, but I've also played games that were much buggier at release)

And where did I say or imply anything about being a corporate shill or a rabid fan? People can be neither and still judge something from a more or less biased perspective and for various reasons. It's not a game many people have wanted from Bioware - and it's quite clear that this has colored at least some people's perspective, for example.

Thats unwise advice because that way you end up with a lot of trash products you wasted your money and time on.

I don't have enough money to spend it on stuff I might end up not liking - before I buy stuff, no matter if its games, cars or what have you, I always check out as many different sources for information as possible to keep my frustration at a minimum. And in case of games that is reviews and demos.
