Yeah, I did pick the right-side choices. It's the autodialogue with jokes that I didn't like because it broke immersion. A casual Ryder would likely fit well with the autodialogue, but that's not a Ryder I wanted to play. Sorry but Shepard does that too and that delete the vids comment Ryder does is a selected dialogue choice. It only comes up if you pick it. I am aware. That's why I said they should've learned from Shepard's autodialogue and either should've improved it or gotten rid of it completely. And Ryder does make jokes which are NOT choices you can pick, they happen automatically. I was lucky I didn't have a lot of problems with Shepard's autodialogue (I'm usually not overly bothered by some stupid lines and generally I think they fit in the context and setting), but there were valid concerns and criticisms around for this type of dialogue. Bioware had a clean slate, they could've done amazing things, but they didn't. It's a huge missed opportunity. Instead of creating a really deep and complex dialogue system with the time they had, they took Dragon Age Inquisition's dialogue system and toned it down to the point where it's absolutely shallow. I'm happy for people who can play their Ryder how they wanted, but Ryder i s very limited and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

None of Ryders auto dialogue defines the character. Unlike with Shepard. A joke can be easily headcanoned around. Shepard suddenly feeling sadness over the death of a lot of a race she never cared about...isn't.

For me my Ryders are me from the start. The character creator is surface level, on the icing on the cake. Bringing my own character through, making decisions based on me-within the given choices-is what makes Ryder mine.
I do of course choose different response options on my PTs but I still make Ryder mine, and that is a choice regarding mindset.
