I usually dont come to boards to ask but ive tried looking for a solution online or reason and i havent found anything.
I am playing on the PC version of the game.
During playing the SP game all of a sudden the game itself stays running... the nomad keeps driving or you can see the world still just doing its things .. but my mouse and keyboard become totally unresponsive.
Literally nothing at all works and i have to hard reset pc . this has been happening frequently in last few weeks and i cant find any reason why this started. all other games run without issue.
anyone else experience this?

Never had that happen. Are you sure the only solution is a hard pc reset though? Usually "ctrl-alt-delete" or "ctrl-shift-esc" will do the trick when a game freezes.
Try re-installing the game or running a check via Origin. Those are the only suggestions I have.

Hmm. I've had a similar issue on Xbone with the Nomad on Eos, where nothing -not even the menu buttons- would work, and I couldn't get out of it. No solution I'm afraid.

Yes but not on PC. I have this occasionally on my PS4. It helps to disconnect and reconnect the controller.

Sounds more like hardware issue than a game issue to me, like a USB problem from your description of loss of mouse/keyboard. Difficult to diagnose, since most of the people here are gamers, not techies. Do all other games work okay, like ME 3 SP and MP? You mention it's in SP - does it work okay in MP? more like a problem with the game itself - try repair. So try to provide more system info - Window's version, etc. Did you install any new software or hardware recently, etc. If it's a hardware issue: Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager -> any exclamation marks? |

I had this happen before the Architect fight on Eos about 20 times. It sounds like a soft lock. Can you Alt-Tab out of the game, then bring up Task Manager to end task it?

I had this problem once while playing the game and what happened is that I hit the tilde (~) key to open the console, but I never noticed that I opened it because it is small and in the upper left hand corner of my screen where I wasn't looking.
