P-twangggg. I liked the executioner pistol in that bit in the Citadel DLC, as it was the only thing you could use at one point if I remember right. I'm not a good enough shot to be consistent with it in MP though, but I think it can be a beast when done right. I find the GPSMG ok I suppose. Is it not the Suppressor? After the fish tank episode? Not sure myself. Could be....I'm thinking of the bit where you creep through a market to meet your team in what makes me think of a car salesroom I only ever did it once... so it could be the suppressor instead, you're right Edit: not even sure its the citadel now.... i did omega at the same time....

As long as you can aim and reload cancel its a friggen hand claymore. Indeed. There would appear to be a lot of people with L2P issues in this thread. Neither gun is top tier, or even close, but the Executioner Pistol can be absolutely fine on the CS-spamming TSol, as the rhythm is perfect for reload-cancelling, Destroyer - as a must-try experience in the game, BF3 Soldier, Human Engineer or Huntress. It does miss shots off-host, but then what doesn't from time to time? As for the GPSMG, everything Arkhne says about the GPR being better is objectively true, but as someone who frequently runs low on AR amps, but never ever low on SMG amps, I use the GPSMG on the GE regularly, and fire explode all the things. It's not quite glorious, but it's certainly a lot of fun, and effective enough for Plat if you're prepared to spend all your TCPs. You have to be specced for full Geth weapon damage, obviously, including SMG Gear, for it to be most effective. And you have to be careful with the ramp-up, but that is just a L2P issue, irrespective of your views on bad game design. I am happy to inform you that I have soloed double shot Executioner build on Destroyer. Also soloed with the Scorpion on him. I like to try weird stuff. I am also gladdened to inform you that, generally speaking, a Targetting VI will improve your damage with the GPR slightly more than an Assault Rifle Rail Amp. WIN! The slightly higher Headshot multiplier combined with no recoil and excellent accuracy makes it a good mook killer, shield stripper, and ammo applier. Sadly though, all this means little to Banshees, which is where the Rail Amp would help. Am I the only person who genuinely considers the effects of Targetting VI on weapons? They make good supplimental amps, and encourage you to aim (and play) better. Yes, it is the Supressor. I would be much happier if it was the Executioner. It is one of the parts I have a lot of difficulty not hating about the Citadel DLC.

Am I the only person who genuinely considers the effects of Targetting VI on weapons? Yes. Seriously though? Yes. You're right, of course, but I guess it probably comes down to a hosting thing again. Headshots off host are usually the stuff of fantasy unless using Stasis. That's an exaggeration, but you get the idea. I do use Targeting VI amps from time to time, but a scoped weapon is an absolute necessity to make them have any effect. For me, anyway.

Yes.
I hated the executioner for the longest time, but now I like it on the Huntress.
GPSMG with AP IV is fine on the GI. With clip and mag it fires for days.
I don't use the guns much on other kits, though.

The Executioner has a niche : casters with Overload or Energy Drain. I would even say it's a top weapon on the turian sentinel.
For the GPSMG, it's mainly with the GE : pew pew pew all around the map and Overload for FE.

Am I the only person who genuinely considers the effects of Targetting VI on weapons? They make good supplimental amps, and encourage you to aim (and play) better. If you're actually carrying 2 guns they boost both, which is a nice bonus. Since I used a scope on my valkyrie to help with it's accuracy issues, the incisor and indra have built in scopes, and the suppressor had major ammo issues, I always carried an unscoped secondary weapon when I used those guns, so the shared boost was actually useful. And no, you aren't the only person who used targeting VI's in serious games.

GPSMG isn't terrible with the proper setup. I think the randomizer gave me BatSent/GPSMG and it was fun as fuck.
Though, I believe I also soloed BatSent/Executioner and it was tedious but fun also. I think I like the Executioner a tad bit better but that's not saying much.

If I have a headshot weapon and don't get 20 headshots, it is just lag but I probably had 19. 20 headshots is almost guaranteed on PC if you can aim at all. With a good connection, I have had 20 HS award by end of Wave 2, and on decent connections usually by wave 7 at latest. I am not a headshot god, so this may be a mouse thing.

It's mostly apathy on my part. My motivation is just killing systematically - speed is not a factor, although if I'm in a kill or be killed face off with a Marauder I can usually manage to make the extra effort required. I did just get a 20 Headshot medal. Well, two in a row, actually. TGI though, so it hardly counts. Avenger and Valkyrie. Both strangely satisfying as I got rid of some Targeting VI, Stabilization mods and Explosive Ammo.

In the case of the Avenger I was trying to see if it made a difference to its deadliness (or lack thereof) when burst-fired. Results somewhat inconclusive.

Valkyrie is a nice headshot weapon. I don't use it enough.
The Avenger is deadly on full-auto. To swarmers.
And really, does anything else matter?

Executioner can be effective in the hands of overload users and the Destroyer. And it is romance.
