Hi guys, Here's a quick start guide on how to mod DA:I. There are two available tools (i.e. compatible with patch 12). As I'm writing this, both tools have exactly the same modding capabilities. 1. DAI ModMaker [1], maintained by Dawnless Sky [2]. This closed-source tool has a large user base, constant community support, a ton of tutorials [3] on its forums, and provides the format of mods accepted on Nexus Mods [4]. Alongside, you will require DAI ModManager [5], also maintained by Dawnless Sky, to apply mods to your game and manage them. If you want an easy way to quickly setup ModMaker and ModManager, you can use the DAI Tools Suite Loader [6] which will download both tools and keep them up-to-date automatically. 2. DAIToolsWV [7], created by WarrantyVoider. This open-source alternative is mostly meant for developers who wish to do the dirty work and implement many of the features that aren't available in both tools. WarrantyVoider also wrote a small wiki [8] with some dev info. Obviously, there are many variables to cover. Let me know what you wish to see in this guide and I'll add to it. Happy modding ------------- Edit: Also posting our official discord server link: discord.gg/xs6MktqFeel free to drop by and ask your questions!
