What a really great video! Sooo many QOL that addressed my criticisms of the game! Looking forward to the vehicles!

People with the beta are discovering things.
Two months ago, a guy tested how far he could go after removing boundaries. He managed 140-150 km before crashing. With the new (beta) update, he stopped after 190km out of boredom, he didn't crash. The new map system update live as well.
Looks like Bethesda might be working on making landing zones larger to make land vehicles make more sense than the 8km x 8km currently in the game.
Hopefully they revamp the POI system, because vanilla has too much random buildings on planets that should be barren...

Hopefully they revamp the POI system, because vanilla has too much random buildings on planets that should be barren... I really hope a future patch or creation lets us disable those random buildings. Them spawning everyone goes against the lore and ruins immersion sometimes, like a big civilian mining operation being within walking distance of places where people say they’ve been stranded alone for years.

There are PC mods that make changes. I tried two. The 2nd one was such an improvement, fewer POI building density, more natural POIs and some rules about no-atmosphere/unlivable environment (same as outpost building) and distance from civilization too to reduce generation even further. It made exploration much more enjoyable and you see less often the same building as a bonus. Actually, after seeing a few mods playing with the procedural generation, I get the impression Bethesda devs just codded it and didn't tweak it much afterward.

Back in the day, I posted my take on how to improve structure spawning and how systems should be handeled. For some reason, that discussion took place in the spoiler thread but there are no spoilers in this post. It's actually pretty similar to what you suggest. I really hope we'll see mods implementing something like this in the future.

The mod I'm talking about in my post: www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6812It doesn't do everything on your list, but it is still an improvement from the base game.

I have heard good things about the latest update. Currently I am renovating my house and have no access to the internet. I look forward to reinstalling the game and having a second playthrough to see the improvements once my internet is back and running.

This new update is pretty dope. Just reinstalled and started a new playthrough. I love that I can finally take healing off of food, and food can now just be a item for sustenance. I hope they add more survival aspects. And I can't wait for the land vehicle. Starfield is looking up.

OK, the trailer for Shattered Space was awesome. House Va'ruun was a given. Most interesting faction in the game and criminally underused, probably held back for the DLC.
If I wasn't so disappointed with the base game I would buy it. Don't feel like giving Bethesda any more money right now. I really wish I had waited 2 years for the complete edition with all DLC and great mods to choose from. Like I did with FO4. Maybe that would have changed my opinion.
At least CreationKit is finally out. Took them long enough! Gonna check for base building mods every couple of months, maybe something there will get me to boot the game up again.

Good, because it's a sign that Bethesda is committed to improving the game. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an entirely different game in a couple of years.

If you are on Xbox, we are no longer stuck with only 5 GB of mod space like Skyrim, now having 100 GB!

I have the tracker download, I can research and mod ammo that's why I'm guessing I have those, but knowing me I'm sure I'm wrong. but I seem to have all the Items that are checked off.

I don't know....a lot of the ones with the check mark are things I don't recognize. I assume they are mods, but I don't have any mods installed. The only thing I've done is enable the console commands to spawn a missing creature for survey data. After I did that, the [modded] notation was added to my character file, but it now says [creation] instead. So, I'm definitely confused.

The checkmark just means the author has been verified. The gear logo means it's an official mod made by Bethesda.

I only just now got caught up on how Bethesda is trying to turn Starfield into a live service singleplayer game. Like a good crack dealer the first mission is free but if you want a new bounty for the tracker's alliance, that's $7 per pop. Wow, Bethesda can go fuck themselves at this point. Not seeing another dime from me ever again.
This shit was a long time coming. Bethesda is just full on greed like EA now. When Microsoft bought them I thought maybe things will improve and it was just Zenimax pushing this crap but nope. Keeps getting worse. Sorry to rain on your parade, guys. Keep enjoying the game. I mean it, glad you're having fun. I'm so done though. This news was cherry on top for me. I can only hope Fallout gets outsourced to another studio by Microsoft, no interest in playing another Bethesda game anymore.
