Seen someone play an AIU (won't say who for their own protection) run up to heavy melee a flying space crab, only to see their bubble of denial pop up. News to me that their tech heavy melee could act as a power. ^ No, that is not who you think it is. Your eyes deceive you.

Anything can pop up that stupid bubble. Sometimes even the act of shooting... I've seen it. Silly creatures.

Admittedly my memory is a little rusty but I would have sworn that it was common knowledge that heavy melee is classed as power damage

Admittedly my memory is a little rusty but I would have sworn that it was common knowledge that heavy melee is classed as power damage For most melees, they aren't boosted by power damage bonuses, however, all melees are blocked by power blocking modes on enemies (Banshee aura, phantom bubble, praetorian bubble).

I usually only get near it so it can land, and hope there isn't enough lag for me to back away safely without being magnetized. That or shoot it enough times in the head so it lands & staggers.

My favorite is Tacticool scan triggering the bubble. Stupid Biower. Hey, you can take extra power damage on the tactical scan. Too bad ALL POWERS (except Reave) are blocked huh?

MUCH TO LEARN YOU HAVEABOUT THE WAYS OF SAIKYO-RYUI was going to say the same thing! You've never tried to melee them for lolz, when its the last critter standing, and everyone is doing whatever, and it's clear it will die, and it really doesn't matter if you do as well because... FOR TUCHANKA... even if you're a volus??? You should give it a go and encourage your team to join in! GETTIM LADS!!!

Admittedly my memory is a little rusty but I would have sworn that it was common knowledge that heavy melee is classed as power damage But you can Heavy Melee a Banshee without making her put up Hand of Denial. It takes an actual Power to do that.

It takes an actual Power to do that. Mass Effect 3 not being consistent regarding mechanics Who'd of thought it Banshee is old school and a little better coded than the crab I was referring to what Arkhne said, that once the power cancelling is triggered melee is ignored in the same way powers are. It probably isn't intended but wasn't fixed. Crabs are usually manageable as long as they don't silently glide up behind you. Just running reasonably close to them gets them back on the deck without risking getting too near that you risk getting impaled. Slows their progress right down if you run away again.

Banshee coding > Crab coding has nothing to do with Melee = X But how do we resolve that equation? Add a just a lil' of space magic
