I know they talked about changes to shotgun accuracy but did they even mention the broken smart choke mod? Wasn't specifically mentioned. Could be fixed under 'bug fixes'. At this point I expect a poll to be made to find the difinitive specialtion.

No Isharay buff? Sadnur.
And as heretical as it may be, I do hope they don't buff combos too much. More emphasis on power buffs would help differentiate kits better, and there are so many combo explosions being vomited on the screen as it, gold will become bronze overnight.

Not sure about either of these points. I have my Gold map mastery challenge completed and have been working on various weapon and power challenges. To do that I'm playing Bronze - mobs are easier to kill and there is very little points difference. If Silver or Gold gave more weapon points per kill then I would likely be playing those. Plus I can help out some newer players, and I have yet to come across a hacked lobby. Oh, you are the one level 20 running on bronze and ruining it for everyone? Ok, you can call it helping but I seriously doubt anybody in game actually sees it that way. And why can't you do your challenges in silver at least? Bronze is essentially unplayable due to high level kits like you. I just bumped into terryfonz who was playing level 17 human vanguard on bronze with talon. OMG. I had to run really fast with my level 1 adept with charger to be able to catch anything. j/k, not really serious, you can do what you want, just saying.

In todays stream the devs were really nice, and it seems like (the justified) whine found listening ears this time. The announced changes look absolutely promising. Yet all they got again is trash from us. It did sound promising. Seriously though if you can't understand the frustration of the players I have no idea what to tell you. It's been a while since release and nothing has been addressed through a patch. There was little to no communication on the subject either. Basically people needed what they got in today's live stream, some communication from the balance team to give them hope.

They missed an opportunity to generate more interest in the game by talking about buffing different things weekly. Candid conversation would've kept people around and frankly made them more excited to play the game. Hell even adjusting one weapon or power per week would've been better than nothing. I understand some had to be done via patch but simple damage adjustments could've been addressed. I remember Eric teasing stuff like singularity being completely reworked. It made people excited to play the kits with that power. Hell they could've worked balance changes to certain weapon classes into apex challenges. Like setting sights on ARs? Well let's make it so ARs are the buffed trait in apex challenges. Hell go super crazy and reward people with an ultrarare for completing the first apex mission of the week.

... Design team wanted combos to be easier to do, hence the change to universal detonation. To counteract that, nerfed the damage. Changing away from universal cooldown was also a factor. ... Christ, these guys are stupid. The change from universal cooldown was already a big nerf. In ME3 you could do a Warp/Throw combo every five seconds. Now, Warp isn't in MEA because of the aforementioned stupid, but if it was it's pretty much guaranteed that it would have at least a twelve second cooldown in line with something like Incinerate. So they more than doubled the cooldown on the combo and to counteract that they nerfed the damage. How can anyone still have faith in these fucktards?

Able to buy Charcter XP/Character cards with MF, if I understood correctly? That sounds great. So, no, that won't be happening. A permanent gear that doubles XP and credits would also be great. So that won't be happening either. It will something much more convoluted than it needs to be and barely worth the effort. Or they'll just half ass it and sell XP boosters.

Perhaps, but if the VAST majority of the playerbase is playing on Bronze, it makes sense that they focus most of their balance changes around Bronze, leading to less testing for higher difficulties. Explains why Gold feels so broken when it comes to builds that may be viable on Bronze and Silver, but just fall short in Gold. They said in the stream that their combo damage formula is broken, this is why power combos do jack shit on gold. But now after they tested a lot, they found the problem and its fixed now. Everybody who plays gold can easily notice that the powers and combos do jack shit in damage. Even the devs would have noticed by playing. The only conclusion is that they either have no idea or shipped it hoping to fix it somewhere along.

Can't say it for everything, but at least for the gold map mastery challenge, you need to play bronze, no joke. I completed the silver and gold waves and now need to go back on bronze for a little while to finish this challenge. Given the fact I only use toons of level 1-5 in bronze and I have no so many left at that lvl, I think I will never finish it. Not that it is really important though, but this could explain things you mentionned.

They need to do weekly talks like they did back in ME3 MP. Weekly streams don't count, we need details on what they are doing. I would take this a step further. I think they need MUCH faster balancing in general. Discussing future updates consistently is not enough. If you release a full price game with a MP suite that includes microtransactions in 2017, you better be fucking ready to support it, and to compete with the level of support that others in the industry offer (Blizzard, Riot, Valve, etc). Their excuse that balancing is tied to patches is just that - an excuse. Someone in EAWare made that decision, and the result is poor product support. So it is absolutely their responsibility and it's within their power to change. A balance patch every month and a half, given the pathetic state of balance, and the poor quality of the last patch, is simply not enough. It is another example of the incompetency of this studio. They should be ashamed to carry the Bioware name, it is an insult to everything this once-great studio has accomplished.

Those notes look good. I hope they don't end up making the game too easy though. It's already quite easy to roll through gold.
Plenty of strong weapons and excellent classes. My main barriers to progress are disconnection and random Kett sync kills.

Bring on Gold easy mode!!!!!!!! Its live. Seriously. I start gold at around level 5 when I level new kits. Extraction rate in pure pugs is 90%+. I cannot phantom (lul) how bad you would have to be to fail gold with a pre-made. The game is buggy and frustrating. But it is also easier than ME3 ever was.
