I really admire everyone going in as blind as possible. I don't have enough self control to do that. Just watching all the official Bioware released content, gonna stay away from other spoilers as much as possible though. Im not completely blind. I read the leaked survey last year which revealed some stuff, nothing too spoilish, but I did read it. Through accident I also got a small peak at a few squad members, new alien race, and even their names. Quick peak however, so their image is still not clear. Speaking of romances, had Bioware revealed the romance options/sexual orientations for the LIs? Or is everything still speculative?

Probably won't know until the game drops/gets datamined from early release.

Ohh! It would be great to see to see a spoiler-free version of the character creator. I would watch it for sure if you feel that you have the time for it I would really appreciate it, show us some hair then. I am really curious about what we will have this time. No pressure though, having access to the full game might be a diversion. Maybe BioWare could do what The Sims 4 does, add more hair in dlc. Sims 4 have Stuff Packs which adds some object with gameplay, some stuff for build mode and things like that. And a lot of more clothes and hair options. I quite often wish there was more to chose from hairwise in my BioWare games. Wish they would add more hair in dlc, I would buy it. I guess they tried with the spoils of the Qunari and spoils of the Avvar. That was all armour so not as interesting to me. The best armor in the world won't distract me from the boring hair. I bought the qunari-version of the dlc and passed on the Avvar one. Had there been good hair in both of them I would have bought both. Gaahh.... maybe we will get lucky in ME:A. Keeping all fingers crossed!Come on BioWare. More fun hair. Add it in dlc, I will pay for it I'm planning on doing the recording for the character creator videos as the first thing starting early access. Given it's ten hours, I should have enough time unless they really went to town with the character creator's content.
While I’m more interested in things such as freckles, scars and other facial details, I am a bit curious towards the hair myself since it seems a bit different than the typical Mass Effect hairstyles based on what I’ve seen. Granted, what I’ve seen is NPC hair so I don’t know if it is a case of Miranda Lawson where the hair is actual a part of a unique face model or similar to Kelly Chambers where the hair and face are separate but the hair is still not available in the character creator. Interestingly enough, I saw a hairstyle that reminded me of one I'd seen in Dragon Age games but that's not entirely surprising since using Frostbite allows them to borrow from each other's games. It's kind of why I'm hoping they'll include facial details that were in Dragon Age: Inquisition's character creator.
I think if hair would be included in a DLC, it would be as an addition to an alternative appearance pack or addition to story DLC. Speaking of additional content, I really hope we'll see the Mass Effect equivalent to the Mirror of Transformation from Dragon Age either in the base game or as free dlc. I don't even need it to be accompanied by anything as fanciful as something like the Black Emporium: just put it in the main character's quarters or bathroom and I'll be happy.

Bioware is being tight lipped about who can romance who. Probably won't know until the game drops/gets datamined from early release. Does anyone remember if it was like this with the previous games? I know the Dragon Age team tends to unveil romances before release like on Valentine's Day but I don't know if the Mass Effect team work similarly in that regard. I only came into the Mass Effect series around the time the first teaser, I think for Mass Effect 3 was shown. Not that I think this is cause for any concern.
Hmm, I shouldn't wonder if early access sees some romances revealed, casual ones or permanent ones.

Speaking of official content, any word on when briefing #5 will be available? I skipped watching/listening to #4 but I let it play 'cause I want the helmet. I've been speculating on that as well. I thought the fifth would be out alongside the 5-minute gameplay trailer but now I'm wondering if it'll even be out in February as oppose to the 1th March where system requirements are revealed. Of course, it may simply be dropped online unceremoniously. I keep logging on to the ME:A recruit site to check if a new one is available. I'm too afraid to venture into the twitter thread now that we're getting closer to release to see when the next briefing drops. I don't know why I want that helmet so much but I do. On a side note, I did get a chance to start up my third ME:3 playthrough this past weekend, hooray! This is my first attempt at a complete renegade run and I'm finding the Priority Tuchanka mission to be extremely difficult. I just love Wrex and Mordin too much, I...I just can't betray them!

Spoiler alert: in the Thane thread, about a possible romance option in MEA. Argh! Given what has happened to SpiritVanguard and now you, I think I'm bailing from the forum barring this thread. I've already seen the use of a squadmate's face as a profile picture in the Mass Effect 3 section. It was one I'd long known about but there's a real chance more that I don't know about will start showing up. So yeah, I'm keeping to this thread alone and keeping away from the forum otherwise.
Just six weeks more, people, we're almost there.

Briefings.... Helmet.... Well, guess I missed something here. Not surprising but now when you guys start talking about goodlooking helmets I feel like I might be missing out. Is it still possible to get said helmet if I look at the next briefing? Or like a previous clever person did, start it and just let it keep running but leaving the computer. Otherwise, yay! Ignorance is working... lol I have managed to not be informed.

Bioware made an official site a while back where you can watch briefings that are basically designed so they feel like in-universe briefings. There are six in total but only four are out at the moment. When all six have been watched by someone logged into their account, said someone qualifies for a helmet. The briefings are, however, very spoilery so a number of people simply login and allow the briefing to play without sound and with the page minimized so they can still qualify for the helmet. With briefing four, we're talking squadmate level and higher spoilers. The helmet in question (as attachment)
It looks like the classic Mass Effect helmet with a few different details as well as done in white and blue colors. It not known if the helmet is recolorable but given that it seems to be intended towards mix-and-match armor, I think it's likely. I can't see why the team would have refrained from allowing color customizing of armor this time.
Here is a direct link to the briefing page: www.masseffect.com/andromeda-initiative/training-hub
Note: The picture is tagged for spoilers. This is not so much because of the helmet itself as it is because of the background. The background features a ship that may consitute as a spoiler for those that have not watched the N7 Day's trailer from 2016. Because of this, I've added a description of the helmet below.

The MET section is the only place I've been hanging around on here and surprisingly I haven't come across anything real spoilery yet -- usually in text I can skip ahead before reading anything, because I'm more cautious than in my DA threads. I know better now... I was accidentally spoiled about a new alien a couple weeks ago or so when browsing tumblr. (Granted, that place is a hazard better avoided altogether.) Before that a couple people made passing comments about two characters in the Kaidan thread, but otherwise it's been spoiler free -- maybe because I said something about avoiding MEA info. And then, yeah, some avatars are floating around here, there was even a character I had already seen in somebody's signature but it has been changed. Aaaaand I decided to watch the new gameplay video that day after talking with a friend who already watched it. Saw something I can't unsee, but, for that specific thing I don't think it'll be that big of a deal. I tried to just stay focused on the combat and nothing else so I didn't see too much -- some things I had already seen by way of accident.

Then I know, thank you! Don't think I will watch them straight away. Fingers crossed that they will be available for a little while after the game hits. It was a nice helmet but I don't love it so I think I will be able to go without it if I have to.

Origin Access is currently avaliable for a seven day trial. I do not know if this will extend to the 16th of March but I doubt the offer will last that long. I thought I'd share it for those that might feel inclined to try it out not just for the early accesses but for the vault games as well.

I'm planning on doing the recording for the character creator videos as the first thing starting early access.
We did get some news on this. I don't think this actually spoils anything, but I'll put it in a spoiler tag in case some people don't want to know. A few of the developers have confirmed on twitter that you are unable to change the main character's appearance after you've left the character creator. I'll link an article talking about it though be warned it contains images of the squad mates so don't click on it if you don't want to know what they look like: link

I would like to know if they ever explain their rationale behind this given that this is something that is highly demanded and they already were able to pull it off in DAI which uses the same engine. This is really disappointing to hear....

In reply to everyone about the mirror thing: Yeah it is a bummer Though Flynn's exact response was "Don't think so" so maybe things will change? But I figured I would let you guys know so those people who make their own character know not to rely on being able to edit their character later.

That does leave some hope we might see it as free dlc even if it dosen't look like. Still a shame if we don't especially given how useful it is and how positively recieved it was proven itself to be.

I don't know what has or hasn't been revealed re: romances because I'm here and not in the other MEA threads. The post I read though, mentioned a character by name as a love interest. Was the info correct? I have no idea. It isn't the first time I have seen that name mentioned in context of romance though, so my guess is yes, the info was correct and has been revealed at some point somewhere.

That does leave some hope we might see it as free dlc even if it dosen't look like. Still a shame if we don't especially given how useful it is and how positively recieved it was proven itself to be. I agree. And I do have a theory as to why things are the way that they are, but for the sake of this being the spoiler-free refuge I wont go into any more detail about it here. But hey in other news we get to play a new Mass Effect game in a month!

Looking to build an affordable PC rig to play MEA at 1440p/60fps; nothing too fancy. Hell, I wouldn't mind 1080p/60fps but 1440p/60fps would be preferred.
Any suggestions?

Hmm... don't know if they have revealed any specs yet and I don't dare to go searching for info on ME:A because that would probably just end up with spoilers galore so sorry I got nothing.
