Oki, the stuff I got today was enough for me. Now I don't want to know anything more prior going into the game.

It will be so much fun to get back in the Mass Effect universe again, just a few months more

No companion reveals or anything like that -- we see the asari again, so nobody we haven't already seen. It's a cinematic trailer that teases the story, shows some new aliens and environments. As someone who also wants to know very little I would say it's safe to watch.

Well, it does show a few characters (mostly with armor on), but there is still no real information about who they are. No names or anything. It also shows antagonists (at least I think they are, no real info there either), and some of the story. They also showed male Ryder in this trailer. 

Personally I don't think this was too spoilery, but this trailer also goes exactly as far as I'd want it to go. Much more and it would go into spoiler territory for me. 

There's also more info on the website about how the Andromedia Initiative got started, who started it, how it works, etc. It's that thing that you can subscribe for by email and if you complete it you get some in-game gear, I believe. 

Shech ... what SZ said ... plus the info on the Andromeda Initiative and completing the training course ...

I don't consider that a spoiler, but instead background info to help contextualize where you are starting from at the beginning of the game.

Besides, you get some minor perks for completing the "training" ...

SV ... Regack's idea is interesting and worth a try. 

Every once in a while, the sound in ME3MP will bug out ... sometimes it almost makes it easier, because the sound ends up distracting from the visuals and the task of killing stuff.

Amazing how easily we can be manipulated via sensory input/overload.

So, judging from some thread titles there have been companion reveals. It's very tempting to read.



For anyone who has decided to read: how many are there? Are they exciting? Any new aliens? Are they being well received by the BSN? I don't want to know names, genders, or what the actual alien species of the squaddies are, but I'm curious about the generalities.

As soon as I started seeing companion titles I decided to set up camp here, exclusively. I'm going to miss the Twitter thread!

I was pretty convinced it had to be something official because the forum was slow earlier and frequently wouldn't load at all. I remember from DA:I though that some (survey?) leaks turned out to be accurate, so I'm going to stay away just in case.

UPDATE: Game Informer has confirmed the name, species, gender and a little personality/backstory for two squad mates, as a kind of teaser/sampler. Interestingly, Bioware has embargoed the appearance of one of the named squad mates -- all that is shown is a helmeted figure. No info one way or the other about the total number of possible squad mates or crew members. Upshot: Bioware is keeping the confirmed info to a slow trickle. Even stuff that is "confirmed" isn't fully revealed necessarily.

SofaJockey , since the GI issue will be based on interviews with and quotes of Bioware leads, will it count as "official EA/BioWare authorised articles"? Does their blog teaser for the issue count -- that's where the info above is first mentioned?

That sounds like a good approach--spoiler tag and describe what's hidden in general terms so we can decide for ourselves how much is too much.

Agreed. Some people don't want to know anything about characters, but would love to know the reasons behind going to Andromeda. Other people might feel the exact opposite way. So detailing what is spoiled in generic terms is very useful.

Game Informer posted a blog article that teases the upcoming December issue (online before print, both to be released in November). The article link is in the spoiler below. The contents of the article spoil the name, species, gender and partial backstories of two possible companions. It contains direct quotes from Mac Walters. WARNING, URL of the link contains the names of the squad mates:



That blog post is one of several on the GI site. They have a whole portal with links to various teasers, but the titles of the links and certainly the content behind the links are pretty spoilery, so I won't post it here. Too be sure, even though some stuff is confirmed, the contents raise more questions than they answer and leave a lot of stuff hidden. For example, one of the squadmates revealed above is only shown as a helmeted figure. We don't know what they look like yet.
