Yeah, it will eventually get to that point where I will have to leave eventually cause of either someone accidentally posting a spoiler or some troll purposely posting stuff in this thread. I will remain for the short term in the hopes that info regarding character creation, multiplayer, customization or combat comes clear. But if Bioware now decides to go all in on the marketing blitz purely centered around characters, locations, and plot....this place could get very interesting.

And that is just from stuff Bioware releases. You still have the possibility of the game being leaked days or even weeks before launch and once that happens, this place will be the wild west.

I'm very happy to comply with the most strict interpretation and won't post stuff willy-nilly. I don't want to be spoiled either, but I don't mind the stuff being put into the Briefings so far. I understand that each person has their own level of tolerance. I've updated the language to use the "very mild spoilers" labeling SofaJockey recommended. And of course I put the whole thing in spoilers.

My intention was to provide as little spoilered descriptive text as possible so that people can make an informed decision about whether to watch the video or not. I think I've achieved that, but of course, for those people who don't even want to know about _____________ or ______________, reading even my mildly spoiled text might be too much.

On the other hand, if even the mildly spoilered text is too much, as it is specifically about the Briefing videos, wouldn't it make sense to just not watch any of the Briefing videos at all? In which case, one wouldn't open a spoiler about a Briefing video that one isn't going to watch in the first place. It shouldn't be necessary to drop out of this thread altogether. Even if an accident happens, admins and folks here are pretty quick to raise the alarm, as shechinah did.

Hmm, would a standardized inventory of what's in the video that might be a spoiler (not the spoiler itself, of course) be helpful? Like (no spoilers, as nothing is checked off!):

Audio reveals:

[_] Names & voices of characters
[_] Names of ships, stations or vehicles
[_] Names weapons, items, or materials
[_] Names of planets or regions
[_] Mission details (brief)
[_] Mission details (lengthy)
[_] Personalities/bios of characters
[_] Theme music

Video reveals:

[_] Appearance of character bodies, including race
[_] Appearance of ships, stations or vehicles, exteriors
[_] Appearance of ships, stations or vehicles, interiors
[_] Appearance of weapons, items, or materials
[_] Appearance of planets or regions
[_] Faces of characters
[_] Appearance of creatures or alien flora
[_] Appearance of enemy adversaries

etc, etc.

If someone like me goes and watches the video, they can check off the items before and post the summary, just the above with items checked, in a spoiler post.

Then one can decide to listen to audio but not look at video, look at video but mute audio, or avoid both. And you know exactly what you are going to see inside the spoiler, the list above with some items checked.

I'd be surprised if any mod killed that, might have dropped down...

For those planning on watching the super bowl this Sunday, I remember there being a commercial for Mass Effect 3 that aired in 2012, so be careful!

I don't mind commercials or the AI briefing videos as much but I am trying to avoid seeing the squad member bios and fan theories. I don't want to see a list of love interests, who they can be romanced by, what their ideal date would be, what their astrological sign is or if they like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. I want to be surprised this time because knowing all about the romance options prior to playing DA:I kind of ruined it for me.

I'm more worried about seeing fan theories to be honest. There are some really imaginative people out there who are able to create a valid theory based off of a 1 minute trailer. I know someone who has a knack for guessing a movie plot twist just from watching a preview, so I'm sure there are plenty of theories about Andromeda in the works.

Can you (or anyone else) who saw the most recent AI brief that talked about the squad members, can you please post (in spoiler tags) how many squad members were revealed? Do not list their names or race, just  a number. Thanks.
