Actually, for me fanart is one thing I'm not really interested in or seek out. I'd rather form my own impressions before other people's take up space in my head. Same goes for fanfiction - won't read it unless I'm already familiar with the background, story and characters.

I've started a new trilogy run to get myself back into the universe without having to spoil myself about the new game. Almost through ME1, man, I forgot what a grind it was But only 7 weeks to go indeed! In the meantime I wish youtubers didn't put too much info into their thumbnails and titles. I follow a few gaming channels and, while I get why they do that, I'm actually thinking of unsubscribing for the next few months (unless there's a way to hide them that I don't know about). Ah well.

It’s mostly because I really want to look more at a new race but there's bound to be spoilers and I don't want to know anymore about them than I already do. I thought I had previously saved some art to tie me over but noope. Seven weeks to go.

I've been playing multiplayer to scratch the itch since I don't have time to play the trilogy. I'm curious to see if I'll get the N7 Shadow Infiltrator or N7 Slayer before early access is out. I think I've almost unlocked every class but those two. Some rares I've even managed to max out.
I remember early during the release of Watch Dogs 2, that a fair number of youtubers were not very courteous about spoiler thumbnails. There is a character called Wrench who wears a mask and whose face is not seen until a later mission. Guess whose face people got spoiled on because of thumbnails?
I looked and found a way of disabling thumbnails that I thought you and perhaps others might be interested.

Ooo, thanks! Will definitely check out those links later And it's amazing that people are still playing ME3 MP after almost 5 years. Is it difficult to get a full lobby nowadays? It's been a few years since I last played. I hope the MP for Andromeda is just as fun.

Almost through ME1, man, I forgot what a grind it was But only 7 weeks to go indeed! I started going through another trilogy run during the fall of 2015, but with the birth of my daughter in March of 2016, I was only able to get ME1 and ME2 in before my house turned into a den of chaos. I'm going to try and get ME3 in before March 21st, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. I loved the story line in ME1 but I agree about it being a grind. I must have mentally blocked out the Matriarch Benezia fight, which was quite frustrating playing again. Actually, for me fanart is one thing I'm not really interested in or seek out. I do appreciate fanart and love seeing the creativity and artistic talent but I spoiled myself on a few books and video games thanks to viewing fanart before I finished the game or book. Don't be like me, resist the urge!

I must have mentally blocked out the Matriarch Benezia fight, which was quite frustrating playing again. Yeah, the story is great but the UNC missions do my head in. I mean I love the Mako but it's just too much for me I only did about half of the side missions this time around (which was difficult enough considering I tend to be a completionist, haha). I'm not sure I'll manage to complete the trilogy before the end of March either, tbh. Damn real life. But hopefully you'll get to squeeze in enough time to finish ME3 in time!

I've honestly not had much trouble lately with bronze and some silver and the squads tend to fill up in little time. I tend to play on weekends but I've found game in the afternoon on non-weekend days as well. It is still very fun, I feel, so I hope Andromeda's MP will be just as much at least. It works nicely when I need to just play something and, of course, when I need to scratch that Mass Effect itch but don't have time to play a save.

Hiya!
Still avoiding the spoilers, still want to look at all the shiney things. Have started a new ME3 PT in order to keep from juicy news from ME:A. Hopefully romancing Garrus will keep me from looking at all the new stuff, that romance it so dang good so it might just work.

I never understood the hype about the Garrus and Tali romances. It seems like an echo chamber of everyone liking then cause everyone else likes them. Personally the Liara romance is the most natural and has a better arch throughout all 3 games. Then there is the Thane romance which is the most emotional. But yeah, the Garrus romance is just so...."trendy" and trendy things due to popularity isnt always the best.

Eh, I played the games before I had much, if any, contact with the fandom so I romanced Garrus before I knew about his popularity. It was on my first playthrough. I liked that romance was initially awkward, which made sense since human-turian relationships likely don’t have much of precedence so customs, positions and safe sex would be something that need to be researched and I’m proud to say that my Shepard did her part by buying that Fornax issue on Omega. I like that it is initially played as just a slow-building case of casual sex but then a romantic relationship begins shaping and surfaces in final scene in Shepard’s quarters. Garrus showing his vulnerabilities and Shepard just being there for him expresses the emotional shape the relationship has taken. It is still unspoken until the third game but it is there nonetheless. In the third game, it stops being unspoken and the relationship has become romantic with the two having a stable relationship that’s very sweet and drama-free except for the whole Reaper thing. My only real complaint about it is that there was too little of Shepard learning about turian customs. In contrast, Liara and her romance never appealed to me on any playthrough. I’m not knocking on you for liking it or her: just that we likely see characters differently and experience their respective romances similarly different.
Heh, I admit to being far more amused than I should that my first Shepard was a sniper. I imagined she and Garrus talked guns from time to time. She was also a Sole Survivor so I think she could relate personally to a lot of the things Garrus was going through in the second game. Anyway, this was just me explaining why I found the romance appealing.
Speaking of Thane, he was the romance of my second playthrough and I honestly didn't intend for her to romance anyone. It just happened because I thought their characters fitted so well together. I was one of the people who didn't mind Thane's death since I never expected him to be cured and I thought the death scene was well executed.
I always liked the bit of the romance in the final scene between the two in Mass Effect 2 where Thane basically remarks that he'd made peace with death but now that he's found love again, that peace is gone. Shepard's reply is to basically enjoy the moment and life. I think that scene sums up the romance: it is sad that you won't be able to spend your lives together but enjoy the time you have together and life in general. While there were bits I did not like of how Thane and the romance was handled in Mass Effect 3, I did like that the terminally ill aspect was kept and taken to its, however heartbreaking, conclusion especially the funeral and the videos in the Citadel DLC.

Yet I am not enamored with it like everybody else either, and I loved Garrus as a character. I prefer his friend relationship. Tali, though, I do favor. It has a sweet, nostalgic feel to it that also feels like it had time to grow. Liara was fine, but to me felt too favored by Bio which is off-putting. Myself, I'm a Kaidan-mancer. I do also like Thane's romance -- though it would've been nice if he didn't die, or at least not have such a cheap death.

Hmm... I think I am confident enough to state what I feel about the different romances no matter what other people think about them I adore the romance with Garrus, it was really well done and I look forward to seeing it again. This time with a FemShep who is, ahem, a bit more renegade than my usual style. It should be fun. For some reason the Liara-romance didn't stick with me in ME3. I really liked it in ME, I has a great time rekindling it in LotSB but it just didn't feel like love in ME3 to me. I felt like I was on the same friendship-path as usual, like they had not been involved for 3 games straight. Perhaps I simply left it too early. Decided to leave Liara, there was no reaction to FemShep going after Samantha instead so that is what she did. I will give Liara a second try one day, with a FemShep who has not been in any romance in ME or ME2, maybe it will feel better as a new budding romance with a backdrop of galactic war. One romance I really liked is Jacobs. This was a very very small fanclub but we had fun togheter while it lasted on BSN. Just recruited Garrus in ME3, currently back on the Normandy and about to go check up on the new EDI. So great to have the game to turn to. It is just so tempting to just go look at all the vids and see all the things. There is a fair bit of mayhem to wade through before the dance-scene but boy do I look forward to it

I've checked and the release date for the games themselves on Amazon.com are listed as March 21, 2017. I don't know if the release date for the Nomad Diecast editions are caused by an oversight or if that really is their scheduled release date.
There is a statue collectible as well but I'm honestly not sure whether that would constitute a spoiler due to, well, reasons. It's not of a squadmate but of the protagonist but it may be a spoiler of something that occurs in the game.

Might not be the romance itself, just Garrus. To be fair, Liara got the "teachers pet" treatment from Bioware cause she was the only person to live through all 3 games. Garrus could die in ME2 while Liara couldnt. Thats why Bioware was able to give her a primary role cause besides Shepard, she was the only consistent party member in all 3 games.

I mostly agree. It is why I mostly tend to fault how her scenes were executed as oppose to her having those scenes although there were a few scenes that I thought were unnecessary. In a way, I think being the only character whose survival was mandatory may have done Liara's character a disservice because it meant that she was the character who were put into certain roles even if it may not have made sense for her.
As far as I can remember, the trilogy didn't seem to be able to account very well for situations like this. In the first Mass Effect, Liara was a mandatory squadmate but her mission could be the last one players selected meaning it was limited how much dialogue and time Shepard had with her. This meant that in the second game, the relationship felt inconsistent to some players because they didn't have time enough with Liara for a friendly relationship to develop. There are also players whose Shepards did not have a friendly relationship with Liara where this inconsistency is even more noticeable. As I recall, the second game assumes that Shepard's relationship with Liara in the previous game is always that of close friends. I think this is also the case with other squadmates. I think I've heard that Garrus is a case of this sometimes in the second game and in the third one if he survives.
I think that is part of why I am happy that the developers may be implemented some kind of relationship measurement. Depending on how it is implemented, it can maker relationships more "genuine" and with more variety to it. This is especially if Andromeda has a continuing protagonist with continuing relationships. I think it could lessen relationship inconsistencies between games.
