Ugh, I hope no omni-button this time around. Playing multiplayer has reminded me what a pain that thing is. There's nothing quite like trying to make a heal-and-run only for the button to decide that you wanted to take cover by the wall next to your teammate... and leave yourself exposed to the two turrets that very quickly puts you down for the count next your teammate.

Okay, I've talked to SofaJockey about it and I'll be posting direct links to the collectible statues' respective pages. It seemed the safest way of going about it.
Spoiler Warning The direct links are tagged for spoilers and will respectively lead to their respective statues. These statues are of the two protagonists. The product title includes their names as well as surname. What the statues depict may be a visual spoiler of something that occurs in-game.
I've chosen these specific links because they contain the technical information but without any spoilers thereby hopefully allowing people to consider the purchase without risking being spoiled by anything else. The preorder button will re-direct to Amazon.com where I do not recommend looking at the information because of the second caution mentioned below.
Caution: I do not advise following these links and viewing these products by those that have avoided information about the protagonist's backgrounds and those that want to remain in the blind about potential in-game events.
Caution: I do not recommend searching for these items or scrolling down on Amazon.com because I can confirm that the Frequently Bought Together section and Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed section contains POP! figures of squadmates and can contain other spoilery imagery. Speaking of which, I am speaking from experience as I may been spoiled on a companion courtsey of POP!
Mass Effect Andromeda Collectible Action Figure(s) by McFarlane Toys.
The collectible statues are avaliable for preorder and priced at $19.99. There's a contradiction as to when they are scheduled for release but the manufacturer, McFarlane, has the release date set as being June, 2017.

To be fair, Liara got the "teachers pet" treatment from Bioware cause she was the only person to live through all 3 games. Garrus could die in ME2 while Liara couldnt. Thats why Bioware was able to give her a primary role cause besides Shepard, she was the only consistent party member in all 3 games. I was referring to her romance itself. On the whole it felt like hers was given a certain treatment, even just in 3 (her love scene, for example.) I also personally felt a sort of... lingering... suggestion that her and Shep "should" be together, like I might be getting in the way because I'd rather romance somebody else. I understand that her being mandatory and the only "unkillable" is part of why she's around so much, but that's not the whole issue and I'm not trying to bash her. The way she was portrayed isn't her fault but I think she did suffer for it.

To me, it does seem like Liara was the unofficial default romance for Shepard which is why to me her romance arc through all 3 games seems to have the most depth and content. Plus the fact that both male and female Shepards could romance her. People like Garrus was limited to one gender so Bioware felt like they got more utility out of Liara. Beginning a trilogy run tonight with a male paragon Shepard who will be romancing Liara.

It's grating and pushy and people don't like it. There's also the absurdity of femShep getting to be with women while mShep cannot be with another man until 3. It's all in poor taste. ...But anyway, have fun with your playthrough (I'm also currently replaying and romancing Kaidan again ), and back to the non-spoiler hyping.

Just a small bit of news that may not have been posted here yet. According to Aaryn Flynn, Mass Effect: Andromeda will not have a season pass.
This does not, however, mean that we will not see DLC at all for singeplayer and multiplayer.

In all honesty, we're starting to run out of 'later', some folk will be playing in 35 days... It may be that they are waiting to see how the game is recieved and which parts folks liked and which parts they disliked. Basically, waiting for feedback so they can take it into consideration when making the DLC. Each DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition increasingly improved on some of the criticisms the main game had recieved so it may be what the Mass Effect team are doing here.

I finally had time to play some singleplayer and I’d forgotten just how much fun the Citadel DLC is and how much I love the interactions in it. Not just the romance but all of 'em I'm just so excited to see what kind of interactions we'll have with our companions in Andromeda! I'm excited just to meet them!
I modded in different versions of the long dress but I honestly prefer it to the short and black one. As odd as it may sound, this dress and the modest version of it feels more unique to me than the short one does despite how the long one is worn by so many NPCs. I think it’s because the shorter dress seem more modern. I also just like the design of the long dress more. It has this air of elegance, color and oh my, I do love long gloves with finger holes. If there are a casual dress avaliable in Mass Effect: Andromeda then I hope it's more like the long dress or, at least, that a version of the long dress is avaliable as an option. Also, I'd love to see the return of the hoodie. It's the kind of thing I'd wear off-duty: it looks warm, comfortable and relaxing.
For this character, I like to headcanon that the Citadel DLC takes place some time after the Reaper Wars: it feels like a nice conclusion to, well, the trilogy. The galaxy is returning to normal and rebuilding, the last remaining threads are being dealt with, Shepard is moving into a home and while there is still dangers out there, life is more or less as peaceful as it gets for Shepard. Our journey with Shepard may be over but it does not mean that it's the end for Shepard, jus the beginning of some well-deserved calm.
Shout out to this CAT6 captain! Oh, how I love that guy. He has one scene and so few lines but oh, if he dosen't make something enjoyable of them.

In this playthrough I will be keeping Kaidan alive. Most of my runs I have always left him to die because I preferred the strong independent woman type of Ashley who I like that she is outspoken. Also most runs I romanced Liara and I felt like I didnt need a surplus biotic. But this time despite still romancing Liars, I want to see the bromance between mshep and Kaiden throughout all 3 games. haha, There's no such thing as too much biotics for me. My Vanguard Shep with Kaidan and Liara detonate so many combo explosions together. They're one of my favorite squad parings in 3. (I like Kaidan/EDI for tech booms.) Also love paring Kaidan with Miranda in the Armax Arena. Ashley on the other hand I never found any kind of magic with in 1 or 3, combat or otherwise. It's just not Mass Effect without Kaidan.

I don't know if you know about it but there's this casual clothing mod for Liara that I can recommend. I have it installed myself and I think it looks really good. I can confirm that it is compatible with the Citadel DLC.

Lol actually a few hours into my playthrought last night, I came to the decision that I am just going to kill Kaidan. I do not know what it is, but Ashley just has that bad-ass independent woman concept that I really like. I understand that her arc in ME3 is weak compared to Kaidan's, but her arc overall throughout all 3 games makes more sense to me. The soldier who comes from a military family who's reputation has been somewhat tarnished due to actions in the 1st Contact War. This is what drives her to succeed, her core love to the military despite the willingness to always be in the fight. I am still romancing Liara though because her romance is just more natural and has the most continuity throughout all 3 games.

I think they're both strong, driven, independent people, but suffice to say I prefer Kaidan for a lot of reasons coupled with being majorly disappointed with Ashley in 3. His path, romance or not, is more enjoyable and natural for me. On one hand I like that Bio made the whole VS situation, but on the other hand I don't. Quite a conundrum. I'd be fine with this not being a thing in MEA though, not that I think it will be...

I the Citadel-dlc. Can't wait to see it again You know what, I never modded any BioWare game but the Sims finally got me started at least. Seeing all the cool outfits is tempting. Ha ha, for DA:I it would have been hair. Have started to look at ME3 for modding as well, might be fun to see the game with something completely new in it. Buff FemShep Tank Top www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/203/?I feel like my FemShep was a bit too skinny for me. Have female friends who did military service and knew a few female athletes, FemShep comes up short. Lol, I had more muscle when I was more active before getting caught up in the hamsterwheel of jobb-child-all-the-stuff So this would be a lot of fun for me at least. I thought that I would share my favorite hair for modding but I just lost 50 min of my life somehow looking at hair-mods so now I am stepping away from the computer. Soooon, ME:A, sooon.

I have always had problems with downloading mods. It seems like a job in itself in order to properly download a mod, and make it appeae in the game. I am a casual PC gamer and I find it intimidating when the instructions ask me to go into the files and do certain things. I wish mods were more "plug and play" in nature. Goto a website, find a mod I like, click the download/install button, turn on game, and wala! The mod is there!

I thought that I would share my favorite hair for modding but I just lost 50 min of my life somehow looking at hair-mods so now I am stepping away from the computer. Soooon, ME:A, sooon. I tend to do non-modded runs first and then modded runs later. That way, I've experienced the game on its own with all of its merits and flaws before customizing to experience it in a different way.
To me, there was always something off about female Shepard's proportions especially her arms. It is part of why I don't like the default dress because I feel it's very noticeable when she's wearing that casual outfit in particular. Oddly enough, I don't have the same reaction to seeing her in the long dress but it may be that there are differences that I'm not conciously percieving. Hmmm, maybe I should do a comparison to try and check.
I've actually been looking at the Buff FemShep mod and adding it to my list of mods that I plan to install for my modded playthrough of Mass Effect 3. With my papers hopefully finished and turned in tomorrow, I should have time to do another run before early access for Andromeda opens. I just need to check compatibility between each mod to avoid mishaps and unfortunate incidents such as EDI's texture malfuction that wound up with her having what looked like a split jaw on her forehead. Speaking of which, I'll have time to correct that misstep. I haven't decided I'll install any hair mods. It is tempting but the playthrough is of a character who it wouldn't be in-character for to have anything short of a buzzcut. I'm modding for future runs as well.

Modding is not why I play on PC but I would be lying if I said it’s not a significant bonus for doing so. I'll never not be thankful for the modders that meets the challenges and crafts wonders, big and small.
Thankfully, modders try to create installation tools for casual players but sometimes that’s not a possible task. ME3 can seem a daunting task to mod but modders there have actually made mods that are installed like DLC which significantly uncomplicates the process. Basically, this means the installation goes like this: put mod file in Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC and done. The Liara mod I showed earlier has DLC versions as well so if you want to give modding another try with small steps, it's a place to start

''Recalibrated'' mod is also cool, plus it has some nice bug fixes for vanilla game Oh, I thought I'd added that to the list. Still time to correct that!

Oh, I hope there'll be curly hair, freckles and dare I say, scars in the Andromeda character creator. I think the Mass Effect team said early on that they could use elements from Inquisition because both games run on the Frostbite engine so they wouldn't need to start from scratch on some things. I hope this includes the cc: there were so many options in Inquisition's cc that I wanted to see continued.
If this type of hairstyle pops up then I would be mighty happy
I guess I'll know on the 16th when early access starts. Until then, it's prayers, hopes and pleas.

It seems like pre-loading is scheduled for 17th March and that the game will feature controller support according to Origin. It dates back to January so it may be old news but I thought I'd share regardless in case some people like myself didn't know.

I've been ignoring everything MEA-related except for this thread - any hints (maybe via Twitter) on when PC specs will be released?
