More on how the dialogue works. Don't look if you don't want to but there is nothing story-related. shechinahIf you trade your Ryder's sense of humor for my Ryder's "Maintains poise and discipline even under intense pressure" you got it. I've been using a lot of emotional and professional so it sounds about right. Really look forward to seeing how this will be used later on in the game. Will the game remember which team member you have been emotional with or professional with and how will it impact the game. Not expecting anything earth shattering rather small variations that gives you something new to experience in game. These are the kind of things that I really enjoy in my game. Doing a few things different in each PT and then seeing how it changes the game later on. The Keep was really nice for this in Dragon Age.  So, speaking of experiencing things in the game and the question whether or not this should continue to be a spoiler-free refuge or not. I am still mulling things over. If we remove the "spoiler free"-part what is it that separates this thread from the many others on the forum, what will be the new name so people know what it is. "The previously spoiler-free thread", which I don't really know if there is a need for. For me I guess I would call it "The place I use to hang in with people I like" but then I don't know why we should get our own thread for that, it should have some kind of relevant topic. Also, I guess I can see a need for a place to sneak in and ask "How do I remove the helmet" if you are a new player to Mass Effect even if the game has been out for a bit. This would be a nice service. But then, the mods are not payed employees of BioWare. They might not relish the thought of babysitting this thread for infinity after the game has been played to bits and datamined to pieces. Besides, the longer the game has been out the more all new information will just be a "how the things are" and simple question from a new forumite might get a very spoilery answer by someone on the forum who is just trying to help but has forgotten how little was known in the beginning. I can see the need for the thread and how it would be taxing to look after. I will remain in hiding in some capacity until I have finished a first PT, and I have no idea how long that will take. If the thread goes before that it would be a little bit sad but eventually I will get the PT done and join the rest of the forum. If the people who take care of the forum decide to keep a spoiler-free space on the forum for returning or new Mass Effect players I will go by here at least every other day, maybe not post every time but taking a look if there is something to deal with in order to share the burden. I like this bunker very much, after all I've been here for a few months now, lol  and I have had a great time with you guys. But if it ceases to be a bunker, what are we then. I might just be overthinking things, it has been very very much coffee and sugar today and very little sleep. And tomorrow is monday and I don't expect to do a live-version of Mordin. Glad to know that it will remain as it is until the end of march anyways  |

Ohh, almost forgot. Seven Zettabytes In my twitter-feed there was a player who said that they had a relative with motion sickness who could play the trial at least. Keeping fingers crossed. AllyCatAttack Have you gotten around to Tuchanka on your renegade PT yet? Thinking about Mordin and got curious  I shot PadoK Wiks in ME3, and it was a good thing I had paper tissues nearby. But I just couldn't leave the Galaxy with Wreav in charge of a krogan uprising. That was a good PT. Difficult but good. |

I guess it depends on how many that use this thread will still need it, but there are already some here that have said they'll be waiting a bit longer to play. On that note, I kind of already feel like there's some over-sharing going on here. I don't think we should abandon the use of spoiler tags on anything just yet. |

I haven't checked the main page for forum organization lately, but isn't there a non-spoiler section for MEA, besides just this thread I mean? If so, then this thread could be moved there perhaps. If there isn't, then I'd hope we could at least try to keep this thread mostly spoiler-free. It's tough looking for help on quest A while avoiding posts about everything else.

PSA: Just a heads-up, the game (can) unlock via VPN tomorrow at 8 AM PST. Therefore, from then on watch yourself BIG TIME for spoilers on Reddit, or on this forum (hopefully not this thread.) If you are waiting till the 21st/23rd, be hyper vigilant now and put on your dark sunglasses.  I plan on looking at some review scores, only the scores, tomorrow then start playing in the afternoon. Really hoping for 8.0's or around there. I'm sure the first Andromeda will have some growing pains, as did ME1, but hopefully not too much. Probably won't show up back here until I finish the first playthrough. Trying to wrap up ME3 tonight but still have Citadel and then Thessia onwards, doubt I can do it all by tomorrow. That's ok. A good problem to have. |

Haters are all over the ****ing place. YouTube, Google, everywhere. It's getting worse by the day. You would believe the amount of dislikes the romance scenes have. The game will be released tomorrow, and the hatred, from these terrible, toxic people, have clouded over my excitement for this game for the past several days. I can't take it anymore. If the game has problems, fine. No game is perfect. But take it WAY too seriously. They are too harsh. They are spreading like locusts. Hmm.... then perhaps don't bring it here We cannot decide what other should write, we can only post and share the things we want to share. Do you wish to talk about other peoples negative views here, I would rather leave them outside on their own. But then that is simply how I deal with things, if I cannot change it try I let it go and focus on things I enjoy or can influence.  Ha ha, but then this is my happy place Mass Effect has always been one of those things that just makes me happy by playing. Nightlife thank you for the heads up. |

Is there somethings special that you really want to do once you get the game?
I am just more interested in what you enjoy and motivates you, rather than hearing about people trolling the game. But then that is just how I chose do deal with things like that. Go looking for the things that motivates/inspires me or others because I find that fun and interesting. Of course you can write about the people that troll the game if you want to. Personally, it has never worked well for me. It only left me dwelling, brooding, more on the things that others want to drag down rather than what I find interesting. In Swedish I would call it "älta", not being able to let go of something. Do that which works best for you |

masseffectfanforlife I understand where you're coming from and that's one of the wonderful, fantastic things about staying spoiler-free. In my experience, avoiding hate has been better for me. The negativity can stick and weigh me down and then I'm just miserable and raging over something that isn't worth the energy, so I ignore it and am happier for it. Eventually I'm able to  some of it. So try to shake it off, don't let it leech you, because your happiness is more important than internet (perhaps bitter) trolling. "Misery loves company" as the saying goes, so try to remember/focus on your love of the series and excitement of this new frontier, not the haters. If that's not enough, here's a funny pony gif:

Any chance you are playing on PC? If you are, you can do the VPN trick and play as early as tomorrow morning. I am yes but urgh honestly I can't be bothered with it, I'm guessing it's a pain to do. Also if, like me, you have another couple of days to go for pity's sake AVOID YOUTUBE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Before I played Trespasser I was on Youtube when a recommended video showed up besides the one I was watching. I didn't read the title, but the thumbnail image was of Iron Bull with the words 'Iron Bull's Betrayal' in huge lettering on it. Big Trespasser spoiler right there and I couldn't even avoid it if I wanted to.  Then there was the one before I ever played DAI with Cassandra in the Divine's hat, and the one saying 'Garrus shoots Ashley'. I've started clicking the 'not interested' button on all ME content on my Youtube recommendations the last couple of months so I'm getting less of that stuff, but it's still getting thru. |

The 'General Forum' should not contain spoilers but as people play the game, more and more is inevitably going to become 'common knowledge'. Threads about specific plot points should stay in the SPOILERS forum, but over time, some leakage is inevitable. Let's keep this thread in April as well, then we'll make a further call. What I like here just as much as it being spoiler free is that its not needless irrational and incendiary like else where. Its a rational and mature hiding place as well as spoiler free, so for that thank you all from a long time lurker and a short term participant |
