I'm seriously tempted to subscribe for March month just for the chance to play the game seven days earlier.
Trust me on this, it can be quite frustrating (from my DAI experience). Because the clock is ticking you may feel pressured in the character creator and pressured to press ahead. I burned through my DAI allocation in a day, then was locked out for a further 6 days . When I started again properly I restarted the game as well. Thanks for the heads-up. That's a good point especially since ten hours must feel like so little when you're in a dialogue-heavy game where you're the type to talk to everybody and ask all the questions during conversations. It's something else when it's a game that is played for the combat, not the story.
Hmm... I think I might still get the subscription since it dosen't seem expensive unless I really misunderstood the price but I would have to keep in mind that it'd be mostly for a chance at the character creator and potential accustomizing to the combat. I suppose it could be called a beta version of a demo playthrough. Bemo? Deta?

But I am curious to see how the forums will be after the release of Andromeda: in my experiences, the forum for the game in question tend to be divided and very... discontented before calming down after a while and allowing for more nuanced and pleasent discussions about the merits and flaws of the game. Today, we can even discuss the endings to Mass Effect 3 without, for the most part, resorting to sailor talk for the lack of a better expression. I imaging that the forums for Mass Effect: Andromeda might see revival of that particular Bioware forum tradition. If it is as bad as Inquisition then I might step outside until it's back to normal. I have many fond of memories of the forums, this one and the old, but I don't recall many enjoyable moments in the early time following release. It's already happening and has been happening since the AI was first announced. There was a period where gloom-and-doom outweighed every other reaction before I finally stopped reading it.

Same principle applies to the 'hype thread'.

Do PC users who preorder through Origin have access to EA Access? Or is this a Xbox exclusive?

Do PC users who preorder through Origin have access to EA Access? Or is this a Xbox exclusive? You don't need to pre-order the game you want early access to and doing so won't grant you early access. There is apparently a free month if you've purchased a product on Origin but I have to look it up because I cannot with certainty verify that.
You only need to start a monthly subscription to gain access to Origin Access (PC) or EA Access (Xbox) amongst other things. It's about five dollars. You also gain a 10% discount on products including Mass Effect: Andromeda. As far as I know, you cannot subscribe for only one month, only for a monthly subscription plan but you can cancel your subscription after making it so you won't have your Origin Access be renewed each month:
ShadowyDragon: "Can I superscribe today, play this tomorrow and then buy BF1 with a discount? They are mine to keep after I cancel the sub? And games purchased with that discount stay?"
obs_snakelet: "Yes. You can cancel the subscription right away and you will have 1 month of EA/Origin Access, which includes the 10% discount off all purchases made during that month. I purchased Origin Access last month and cancelled it 2 minutes later. It is still valid until 25th October"
Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/comments/5725xr/eaorigin_access_battlefield_1_trial_information/
Note: For those curious, EA Access is not avaliable for Playstation because Sony turned it down apparently due to having Playstation Plus.
Edit note: I deleted a portion of my post because I had someone with a better understanding of math take a look at the price and percent. Said someone found it didn't add up that way in the case of this game. The rest of my post should be good, though.

Of course, skepticism and reasoned criticism is more interesting to me than fanboy ra-ra, but there's skepticism and there's ima hate it no matter what they do, repeat 100 times. I can do without the latter. Like I said, I left a while back, so maybe all that was put in place after I left. What do you do about the "repeat hate 100 times" when it happens in a permathread, like MEA Twitter? Moving the whole thread is not an option. It would need surgical strikes. Also, this can't be said enough: thanks for doing a great job with a job that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

If I had to assess where the line was, it's probably down to how much bait the poster applies to their hook...

Appearantly the EA/Origin Acces involves a 10 hour cap for SP, but none for MP
What do you vaulters think? Would it spoil the SP by jumping in the MP just before release?

... What do you vaulters think? Would it spoil the SP by jumping in the MP just before release? If someone is only interested in multiplayer, it won't matter, but the multiplayer map will be from worlds to be revealed in the single-player game. With ME3, I'm not sure I would have wanted to drop into maps that Shepard would visit later in the game spoiled. Though the temptation to clear my noobiness in the multiplayer is real.

It seems that tweet was misunderstood at first and he just means that MP won't be limited for the duration of ten hours. I think I'm just going to sit and wait till official release. Avoid all spoilers. Perhaps I need to plan a holiday then...

With ME3, I'm not sure I would have wanted to drop into maps that Shepard would visit later in the game spoiled. Though the temptation to clear my noobiness in the multiplayer is real. I'd say it is almost certain that the multiplayer maps will feature locations from the game itself and likely enemies as well so playing it might very well result in spoilers. Depending on what surprises the story holds, it might be rather serious ones at that. I'm planning on keeping away from multiplayer until I've finished the story. It might save my would-be teammates from unhelpful floundering on my behalf.
I am curious to see if Andromeda's multiplayer will offer a variety of races like ME3's multiplayer. I expect it will either on release or later on but I would appreciate and I do hope that the customization options will be unlocked for each character from the start. Oh and if I purchase a crate that is specifically advised towards characters, could said crate please contain at least one character?

SofaJockey , I’ve been meaning to ask: Have we seen anything about how the relationship between Ryder and their family will work? Like what the dialogue options might be? Thank you. Note: Inquiry contains big spoilers. Do not read for your own spoilerless safety.

Note: Inquiry contains big spoilers. Do not read for your own spoilerless safety. There have been vague suggestions about how things may sit regards those characters, but nothing too specific. As for dialogue, there is a dialogue mechanic but that's mostly been shown in a short section of a mediumly spoilery trailer. PM me if you want me to elaborate.

The short answer is that there are a ton-load of spoilers in both the cinematic #2 trailer, and the Initiative Briefing #4. Character reveals, possible romance reveals, antagonist reveals, story set up. If you are just hanging out here, these are not the trailers you are looking for. (but they are good.... choo choo on the hype train)

Is it squad member reveals, other people? Or a combination of both? Also, how indepth are they? Are their names revealed? I dont plan on watching them, I just want to know how much content has been revealed cause now I know people are going to be openly talking about this content in the forums. Thus far the forums have been safe for me but now with this info load, I fear that I may not be able to leave this thread due to the possibility of being spoiled second hand by a thread title or reading someones reply really fast and learning something I didn't want to know.

FWIW, I watched Briefing #4 and here is a very mildly spoiled summary, so that you can decide if you want to watch it or not: - Mission, organization and authority of Pathfinder teams described (briefly)
- Each team has their own Pathfinder
- Five human team members of the human Pathfinder team introduced
- Faces shown for all five human members, including Papa Ryder and (presumably) the helmeted female from the first trailer
- Brief bio/personality-blurb about each human team member
- Pathfinder AI introduced, hints about how the AI enables gameplay elements
Spoiler-free for anywhere else, but this is a highly triggered thread. If you don't want 'very mild' spoilers, don't look SofaJockey EDIT: Changed language to "very mildly spoiled", happy to comply.

No, no, no, PR still constitutes as a major spoiler!
