Honestly, the human female squadmate's outfit bothered me more. The suit makes her breasts look like plastic balloons Yeah it looks like they used EDI's body model. Actually....I don't see this. They don't look as ridiculous as EDI. The Asari, especially, seems to have a fairly normal body. Maybe a bit ridiclously ballerina-like and lithe like the phantoms in ME3 but not busty like EDI.

Bioware still needs to work on ears. It's jarring when they're of such lower quality compared to the face in front of them. It was especially notable with Solas. It's not a holster, it's the gun itself, folded, just like older games. But you're right, it is on the left. There was a combat shot like that in the E3 "trailer" too, but I wrote it off as being mirrored (not uncommon for trailers). I hope it's not mandatory though, because I like options, and because I'm used to looking over the right shoulder in games. If it is optional, cool. Those other options won't necessarily be better, though. For instance, Garrus' ME2 alternate was just a different colour, not even repaired But even if she has a good alternate, I'll still facepalm and roll my eyes at Bioware. Realism over fanservice, please. In fact, nothing > fanservice. <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> I think the trailer is designed to show a few things. 1. Customizeable outfits. 2. Removable helmets while on a mission 3. Neo PS4 graphics capture 4. Pre-Alpha footage 5. Lighting effects of environments is displayed by Ryder's armour. 6. Environmental lighting is awesome looking. 7. So, is the artistic level design.... good work you poorly paid overworked artists!! Good catch on the folded weapon. Also, with her civilian outfit, a helmet makes no sense. Helmets are normally for toxic / vacuum environments. I like to see if the writers and artists understand when a helmet + armour + custom outfit matches the environments. If I see the Ninja Asari in her outfit on the surface of a moon, I will scream. Now now... about fanservice.... There is nothing wrong with a navel or two.... on a ship or bar or while exploring in a breathable environment. Pretty much. No reason to get desperate right now. We simply don't know enough about what is happening in the scene to say it's a "ME2 collector's Ship" problem again.

Man, we're all always negative, aren't we? *holds up candle* there are good things. *tentatively patting Bioware on head* * in case devs come in here to check out our consensus* *really awkward tension* When I re-watched the footage just now I caught the presenter distinctly saying "pre-alpha footage" so that tells me that some of what we saw could have already been changed given that I am sure they are well past alpha stage by now. So that means the Asari's feature's and outfits might be very different, we may be able to select them, and these may not be the voices of the final product. I think they were more trying to give an idea of how good the game will look (success) and the upcoming trailer will tell us or start to tell us a lot more about where they went after the pre-alpha stage.

Is it the facial expressions that is off putting?... she is after all an alien, not a human. For me the off putting part was her facial animations and her skin didn't seem as defined as in the last trailer Edit: I love her a lot despite that, but I noticed the lack of polishing in her animations too Also... THEY ARE GONNA TALK ABOUT ANDROMEDA NOW!!!

It should be fairly easy for them to implement a CHOICE to have full armor and helmets for everybody if we so desire, alongside the choice to have them in casual outfits.

I'd like to bring this up again. Apparently we are gonna be able to equip many more weapons, probably the same amount as in ME1 All the spots I marked are confirmed by either this or other trailers to be valid weapon holsters/slots. That gives us 5 possible weapons at once. Here he's carrying 2 unknown weapons. The pistol/SMG thing on the left, and then that AR/SR something on the back.

How do you know Hanako found those things accetable? Because she played these games i guess that are so full of unbelivable, absurd and against any scentific principle that throwing a tantrum over an exposed belly is ridiculous. Point in case i don't know if she found these particular point acceptable but if she played any ME game with that kind of attitude i cannot phatom what kind of entertainment she get out of them Mass Effect has established as a rule of the Mass Effect universe that space exposure is dangerous which is why it is egregious for some to see characters in the game exposing skin and such when in such enviroments. Similarly established to an extent is the danger of toxic enviroments. If this hadn't been established as a rule, it would not bother me as much as it does.
It's hard to extend suspension of disbelief in regards to these things because the setting itself outright challenges these suspensions including by outright showing the danger outside of codexes.

Ok that's soo cool. I'm quite optimistic now and that Asari doesn't look half bad. Good stuff. Yep, glad the Asari doesn't look as derpy as before. I thought they were going the Sera route with her, and considering how much I hated her character in DA:I, it's good to get the impression that is NOT the case! I'm cautiously optimistic about this trailer. Obviously the game looks gorgeous, but we'll need the dets to really judge.

I didn't see anything wrong with it: it looked a bit clumsy, yes, but not in a fake way; it looked like someone running for dear life which you don't tend to do in a very dignified manner.

The 4k trailer shows the cutscene from 0:00 - 2:57. Real game footage is after that.
And that explains the helmet in the cutscene and no helmet in actual gameplay. How can the people doing the cutscenes not be aware of the current in-game situation?

The graphics look good. Too bad the ME trilogy can't look like that. Wait a minute. They can. Just remake the trilogy. excellent
Anyways. I see the raccoon was shown. If we're military, I like to have Male Ryder get a haircut. Needs to have that hair off the ears. Need it high and tight

I feel I should note that there were an option in Mass Effect 3 to remove the player character's helmet in cutscenes but keep the squadmates' helmets on. These options are likely present in this game as well which would explain why Ryder's helmet is removed in the cutscene but the squadmates still have theirs on. This was probably to show off Ryder's face.

Getting cautiously optimistic. However "boring" part of the gameplay that was, I still dig it. Love the asari companion. Her voice and facial expressions are great. The environment looks great too. I had to rewatch the vid since the first time my attention was hijacked by the dangling bits on Ryder's ass. Why do we need straps there?

Point in case i don't know if she found these particular point acceptable but if she played any ME game with that kind of attitude i cannot phatom what kind of entertainment she get out of them It's not about the bellybutton per se, it's about The exposed skin. And no, one can play games And enjoy them even if they flaws, or something they don't like. I don't like being forced to have my squad in outfits That aren't suited for combat (depending on the setting), like in ME2, or other things that go against physics laws (reviving The dead). I still enjoyed ME2, a lot. And how exposed skin is a problem? As i wrote and other people noted we do not know which kind of planet we are in. That outfit looks like some kind of sportsware good for outdoors excursion so nothing strange if someone use it during the exploration of a desert planet (like the one we saw in the previous video with the mako) or the jungle/forest one (the one with the flying whale). Regarding the enjoyment is pretty incredible considering the tone of the original message and some of the others that followed made quite clear that without a "proper" outfit the game was already ruined.
