<<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> Hu? The walking, running, jumping are all mocapped. Is it the facial expressions that is off putting?... she is after all an alien, not a human. I didn't see anything wrong with it: it looked a bit clumsy, yes, but not in a fake way; it looked like someone running for dear life which you don't tend to do in a very dignified manner. Indeed. It looked a little 'goofy', but not in a bad way--it actually kinda reminded me of the Nathan Drake/Indiana Jones approach to running away from things, and fit rather well with the brief impression we got of the character in the E3 trailer. Combined with the way she seemed to know more about the vault than the other characters, and to have been there longer... I'm starting to think she might indeed be something akin to an adventurer-archaeologist, in the Indy mould.

It looks pretty and I like his armor. BW's never been big on showing dialogue choices so early before the game, so nothing to worry about yet. I really liked the scanning mechanism, it has a lot of promise. That said, I'm just not feeling it. It's not the lack of pew-pew that bothers me and to be honest I can't quite put my finger on what its lacking. Anyway, it's pre-Alpha and only a couple of minutes of strolling around. Not going to give up just yet and Nov 7th isn't that far away, so looking forward to it.

I thought it was really great and was definitely more than what I was expecting, considering we were told not to expect anything until EA's other big game pushes. Environments were beautiful, the animation in general is far above what existed in DAI, I'm really into the suits and costuming. The Asari looks bad ass and very capable, I get the merc, scavenger vibe from her; does it really matter if her navel is out in one cut-scene? I'd assume there will be other outfit choices, calm yourselves. Plus she looks far more improved from our first glimpse of her in the old trailer. Ryder sounds great, a good moderate voice for a character new to command. His suit looks very cool and his hair isn't as bad as I was expecting Wish we'd have seen the other too squad mates out of helmet, but otherwise, very solid trailer. Best of all, they've given us a set date to expect a look at new content and a new trailer. Well done Bioware, it's looking great!

It's not about the bellybutton per se, it's about The exposed skin. And no, one can play games And enjoy them even if they flaws, or something they don't like. I don't like being forced to have my squad in outfits That aren't suited for combat (depending on the setting), like in ME2, or other things that go against physics laws (reviving The dead). I still enjoyed ME2, a lot. And how exposed skin is a problem? As i wrote and other people noted we do not know which kind of planet we are in. That outfit looks like some kind of sportsware good for outdoors excursion so nothing strange if someone use it during the exploration of a desert planet (like the one we saw in the previous video with the mako) or the jungle/forest one (the one with the flying whale). Regarding the enjoyment is pretty incredible considering the tone of the original message and some of the others that followed made quite clear that without a "proper" outfit the game was already ruined. How is it incredible? And how does it sound That mine or any other post criticizing this choice mean the game is ruined? It's just criticism of something People didn't like before (ME2-ME3) And don't like now. Do you enjoy games only if you don't find things you dislike?

The graphics look good. Too bad the ME trilogy can't look like that. Wait a minute. They can. Just remake the trilogy. excellent Anyways. I see the raccoon was shown. If we're military, I like to have Male Ryder get a haircut. Needs to have that hair off the ears. Need it high and tight Unless they make a third party company do it that seems unlikely, between New IP, MEA and SWTOR Bioware has their hands full.

Getting cautiously optimistic. However "boring" part of the gameplay that was, I still dig it. Love the asari companion. Her voice and facial expressions are great. The environment looks great too. I had to rewatch the vid since the first time my attention was hijacked by the dangling bits on Ryder's ass. Why do we need straps there? That reminded me a bit of climbing gear...

I don't think she looks as bad as EDI's. But she does have that weird, inflatable plastic look to her breasts. It could be worse, though.
I can be picky when it comes to costumes, though. Jack drove me crazy in ME2. I would have felt way less bothered by her if she had been completely topless, as opposed to the weird belt thing she had going on that only existed so the audience wouldn't see any nipple.

I like the way the gameplay looked. Hell, the protag actually climbed up something. That alone is refreshing.
Uniforms look great and the graphics look even better...and the damn game is still 7 some months out, dammit.

Because she played these games i guess that are so full of unbelivable, absurd and against any scentific principle that throwing a tantrum over an exposed belly is ridiculous. Point in case i don't know if she found these particular point acceptable but if she played any ME game with that kind of attitude i cannot phatom what kind of entertainment she get out of them Mass Effect has established as a rule of the Mass Effect universe that space exposure is dangerous which is why it is egregious for some to see characters in the game exposing skin and such when in such enviroments. Similarly established to an extent is the danger of toxic enviroments. If this hadn't been established as a rule, it would not bother me as much as it does.
It's hard to extend suspension of disbelief in regards to these things because the setting itself outright challenges these suspensions including by outright showing the danger outside of codexes.
And in the same universe is shown that character are constantly surrounded by a force field that keep the skin unexposed to the void. So one rule doesn't negate the other. You simply cannot accept it not because it break a rule in the phictional world but because is completly oppositd in what happen in the real world. It's the same principle that people use in fantasy game where the only acceptable armor are the one closer to a replica of 12 century armor all the rest is silly or childish.

It's fashionable for the Omega nightlife district, not for exploring a COMPLETELY ALIEN WORLD FULL OF DANGER 1) how the fuck they know it was full of danger? 2) which kind of climate this world has? In the e3 video we seen the mako running in a desert so no surprise if the guy who explored that planet dressed lightly 1. Umm, did you miss the part with the aliens who are known to attack you? That outfit is not combat-rated. And it's a much better idea to prepare for a negative situation than to be unprepared for it. Obviously... 2. The suits are climate controlled, so the weather isn't a factor. No excuse for less protection there. I swear people have gone off the deep end re the asaris outfit. I work at a University, I can walk out of my office during class break and find a half dozen out fits like that in 5 minutes. Because an exploration squad is in their outfits provides zero and I mean zero context as to why another person would be dressed casual, or functional for them. Holy over reaction bat man. We're not talking about a university, we're talking about exploring alien environments with hostile life forms. Re: Asari's outfit: Its fashionable and fine for hiking and spelunking in an environment that has been determined to be hospitable. Also, she's an asari, so she may very well have a natural barrier strong enough she doesn't need armor. At least when it comes to projectiles, physical attacks, and biotics. Acid or heat damage? Prolly not. But if she knows enough about the general environment she might consider the risk worth it. Also, if she's not a commando, she may not *have* access to body armor. I like her outfit. It looks cool and indicates she's got an active lifestyle; climbing, hiking, and exploring. She has good boots, arm and hand protection, very slightly exposed midriff to cool off a bit. She looks like a mountain climber/spelunker to me. Aside from what I've already written: It doesn't matter at all if she has barriers, it's still an extremely stupid thing to do. You don't forgo one useful thing just because you have another different useful thing. Shepard doesn't run around in a hoodie just because of shield-tech. The asari has a gun, so obviously she's expecting to run into trouble and should have armour too. Body armour isn't hard to come by, if the original trilogy is anything to go on. But regardless, if she's being sent somewhere, presumably by people on the Ark, they'd have issued some to her for her mission. I'm glad you like how it looks, but I don't care what it looks like if it makes no sense.
Pathfinder was first from the leaked survey, I believe, and was the first we had in regards to the player character's name or rank. Note that Shepard was addressed as Commander Shepard by many in the trilogy so Ryder being addressed as Pathfinder Ryder by many wouldn't be something new in the franchise. A rank and iconic name is par for the course when it comes to Mass Effect.
Oh, so you're thinking Pathfinder is a rank itself? I was guessing that it would be "Captain Ryder" with the additional Pathfinder, since they seem to be in charge of the ship, or should be given they tell it where to go. Pathfinder as a rank seems... odd. Man, we're all always negative, aren't we? It's partly because I'm in a bad mood today But also because I have such a lack of faith in Bioware now, especially for ME.

Oh, that's why I specified 'adventurer-archaeologist', like Indiana Jones or Nathan Drake. Much closer to a tomb robber in how they operate - indeed, Drake straight up is one, and any actual archaeologist who acted like Indy would be, too - than Liara's more scientific, "I'mma spend months brushing sand off this ancient tilework" approach/actual archaeology. I would cite the Tomb Raider herself, of course, but I'm not really getting a Lara-ish vibe from her.

I'm guessing that we'll come across a few vaults in the main story, but the rest will just be side mission or exploratory stuff. I wonder how they and the Remnant will affect the story.

I will have to watch this later when I have time to analyse it. First off the game looks gorgeous, obviously the Asari is a confirmed as being important, most likely a squad member. Noticed the other two squad members when not there when Ryder was walking around, was that on purpose or just done to show off the game with out revealing/getting sqaud in the way. Can't way to find out more on NOV. 7th.

People don't like something (which is fine) and than pass the months after building up all the hate they can for making the devs notice that they didn't like it (which is insane) and come the next game the cycle start again . And what you obtain ? Bioware close up their official forum because they gave up to the community because people weren't able to manage a negative feedback outside of a pitch and fork situation

Well, color me impressed...
Looks good, feels like Mass Effect, we get some slivers of gameplay through exploration and scanning and what not, a cut-scene that mentions the Helios cluster, and two mysterious characters and floaty robot things.
You have my attention. Hopefully they don't lose it.

Looks pretty, and I actually did get some of that ME1 feeling of exploring a completely new galaxy with strange new things you've never seen before. While it can sort of be boring in a gameplay presentation, I really did like how most of it was just exploring this strange place without even a hint of combat until the very end just before it ended. I hope that Ryder actually comes from a civilian background and that there might even be some non-combat/peaceful solutions to quests should you choose to pursue that course of action.
