this was my favorite dialogue scene Hah, yeah that is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about. Yes. You know you're like, "F*** when was the last time I saved. Then you weigh the decision..." Too many damn times on the PS4.

Haven't had the disappearing people (seems to be Sara-specific, like movie night maybe?) but have suffered through the extreme closeups of the back of my head. Or silent dialogue that you can only know about by having captions on.

The open world formula didn't help. Ultimately it comes down to game breaking bugs. Character Interactions. Character Banter should be prioritized. And making all the characters look as good as possible outside of combat You're gripes with this game are really no different than anybody else's.
Personally, after 200 hours, my only hatred towards Andromeda was driven by the excruciatingly painful planet hopping.
Everything else I was much more forgiving.
However, that doesn't mean the writing wasn't terrible.
Or that the humans didn't look awful.
Or that the banter wasn't annoyingly repetitive and overcooked.
Or that quest bugs didn't exists. Enough to drive a completionist crazy.
Looking back on this game, though, I really do think the writing is its ultimate downfall. Everything else can be fixed.
The writing in this game is so bad, that I'm almost embarrassed to play it. It's so teeny-bopper, that it's sickening. I actually thought the writing was fine, but that's my opinion.

Yeah... I bought Trespasser for DA:I, and I'm yet to actually play it, so I can understand where you are coming from. It took me something like 18 months or more to complete DA:I. It was finally the trespasser dlc that spurred me on. I wasn't all that impressed, and sort of thought it was the ending that was cut out to be sold off later.

I agree with the OP and would say he nailed down my main too gripes. I felt like the game was just a series of time sinks, but now I understand that they were desperate to get you to explore all the open worlds/planets they created. It just felt like my time was being wasted for no good reason, like the game was designed to be a time sink and not an actual game. Thats why I said previously I could come back if there were mods that removed all the loading animations (travel, etc) and made the Nomad 5X faster. I know alot of those animations are to mask loadscreens, but lots of games let you skip them once the content is loaded or are moddable enough that they let people swap out animation files for actual load screens that only stay up for as long as the content is loading.
Would also appreciate an accelerated xp mod so I could use my one time available augmentations without worrying about saving them because I am 3 or 5 levels away from getting the next tier suit or weapon. I ended up never using the unique augmentations because of this.
The other thing the OP explains well is the banter, its the recurring plot flag problem. Yes I already fixed the water or yes I already scanned this corpse, I don't need to be told about it again!
By comparison, the rest of my issues are very minor gripes. It took about 200 hours for me to through the towel in and decide the remaining 10% of my third playthrough was a bridge too far.

I've never really understood this argument to be honest, but perhaps its a generational thing (I'm a Gen Xer).
My view is that if a game interests me, then that is the most important thing. Creative problems and general disinterest in a game's premise, atmosphere, the day to day, minute by minute details of how a game asks you to experience it and play it - these matter to me. And happily are mostly absent from MEA. I'm fine with what's happening and how the game allows me to go about doing it. Its not perfect, but it exceeded my expectations after ME3 and DAI let me down.
But bugs and such? They have to be very serious for it to impact on me. In an ideal world, it wouldn't happen but that is very rarely the reality, so blaming this game for something like that is hardly fair. Bioware's games have always had dodgy technical issues and bugs, as have many classic games. Taken purely on a technical level, Fallout New Vegas is disgraceful, crashing frequently. Its also probably my favorite RPG ever made.
My standard response on this issue is 'I would rather play a game that delights and interests me , but which only works 50% of the time than a polished, smooth running bug free game which runs 100% of the time, yet bores me into a coma even thinking about it'.
I have issues with this game over its main plot and rushed later planets, but the bugs? Whatever. For me, the game was more hit than miss and none of the misses I cared about were anything to do with bugs or other technical what have you.

I've not been overly bothered with bugs (I am probably quite forgiving) and am still playing (3rd PT), but I get that these things annoy each of us differently. I am currently finding this game to be more re-playable than ME1 which I played twice when I first bought the game (I did replay many times over the years though so time will tell if MEA calls me back again in a similar way) I genuinely loved TW3. preordered and spent many many hours on the main campaign, I own it with all dlc on PC and Xbox1 and I have never played the DLC... I think it is because the end of TW3 was an end, and the dlc are set prior to that end iirc. It was not a game I felt any compulsion to replay, I've tried a couple of times and given up. I'd still rate the game as excellent though... I'd probably played the dlc if Iorveth had been in it. However, I'd advise that if you really loved DAI then you really should get Trespasser, I would consider it to be a crucial part of the series, and the best thing in DAI, which I generally loved. I loved TW3 too - the whole series actually - but didn't complete either dlc. They were brilliant but i think i was simply overloaded with TW3 - one of the dlcs was almost as big as many full games! I often wonder that because Bioware does multiple characters with a cc (race and gender), and multiplayer they lose some resources to enhance other aspects of the game. Anyways I will be replaying MEA but will wait til the next patch at least. I really need to have bigger font though - hope that fix comes and comes soon! and yes - this ---- wish they did more with that character in TW3 "I'd probably played the dlc if Iorveth had been in it."

Atleast they got that far... I'm on PS4 and trying to leave the nexus to chase her down. Well it ends with a crash of the game every time. Only way to get around it was to load back before i started the quest and avoid Contagion....Ironic huh.😂

Wasn't the banter bug fixed? Most of the other issues are minor imo. The quests that span planets may be annoying to some but as someone who has played games that do that, hell ME 1 did that I quite like that aspect.

Can people please stop creating threads about why they don't like the game or how they like it no matter what people say? It is getting ridiculous you aren't changing anyones opinion at this point. This section is becoming a dump of preferences, we get it already

I don't mind new threads , people can keep talking but it's like talking about the weather. Now this is hilarious People are making new threads to express their opinions and exchange them with others. That's what forums are for in general. If you don't see any point of discussing the game until next BW's announcement then why are you even here? Sure, plenty of discussions took a wrong turn and there are a lot of people who don't know how to criticize constructively or don't understand why critique should be constructive, but complaining about the fact that people keep having discussions makes no sense whatsoever.

You all are putting too much into the animations. They could have been done better but it doesn't take away from the experience, at least for me. I love this game. It's huge, so much to do. I've gone the other way I guess with respect to games. I used to like the linear games where you were driven down a story path and couldn't stray too far. I like open world better now, a lot better. It suits the Andromeda world really well.
I do agree about DA:I. I tried playing that game 3 times, each time I had to quit due to major boredom. I love Witcher too, but am stuck at 75 percent completion because of the same deal. I'll load it up and start playing, then 3 minutes in I'm falling asleep. I'll finish it at some point since I paid for the DLC's, but probably not for awhile.

For me, I suffered horribly from the banter bug but patch 1.05 did fix it for me. Through two games now I've gotten tons of banter but in DAI I had the bug and it never really got better so who knows.

Inquisition is one of the most boring games I have ever played so far. The Inquisitor has as much charisma as a wooden stick. Basically every minor character outshines the main protagonist in this game. wtf I'm glad I never bought it and when I finish it in a couple of days I go back to Andromeda. I mean the sheer amount of mindless collection tasks is only topped by barely any Partybanters. Hinterlands is freaking huge and everyone is silent. Andromeda may be a ME1 reduxe game with a couple of bugs, but still more entertaining than this bore-fest. This. and when I had finally manage to finish Inquisition, by skipping 6/10 areas of pointlessness, then came the coup de grace of Trespasser with the least satisfying ending in any game I've played save for being forced to adopt the main villain turned into a baby-girl and raise her well in Blade and Soul. And mia ultima, I did replay BnS. But to each their own, if folks do find something in a Inquisition that I cannot, but dislike Andromeda, such are the vagaries of taste.
